So, Dave is doing Big Ears by himself to kick off his tour on a solo note. Josh and Brian are in Copenhagen for Tangerine Reef w/ Colin from Coral Morphologic and will be doing 30 minute solo sets with Coral doing visuals for both their sets. They won't be doing Tangerine Reef without Dave, however they will be screening the film, talking a bit, and then doing solo sets. Both festivals are on 3/22/19 - so Dave can't make CPH:DOX, leading it to be a Big Ears solo set and CPH:DOX solo set(s).

I’m wondering if anybody has seen Avey Tare live in the recent era and if he has copies of down there on vinyl? atm the only copies i can find in the Internet is an eBay auction coming out of Germany.

Has there been an opener announced for this tour yet, out of curiosity? I’m planning to attend the St Paul show but still haven’t seen any mention of one. Not that it’s a huge deal since I’m already in it for Avey, of course

Just wanted to add that I’m super psyched about Deakin performing with him! I haven’t seen him since 2013 with AC, and the fact that he’ll be adding melodies makes me all the more excited! It’ll be interesting to see how faithful they keep to the Cows songs, since it’s hard to imagine them in a band context without a few bigger changes or additions.

Are we sure he didn't just play Remember Mayan which has the lyric "future's being right now?"

My friend was at that show but he's unfamiliar with the new stuff outside of the recent singles. I know from clips he sent me that he played Nostalgia in Lemonade, HORS_ and When You Left Me (which sounded a bit different from how it was played during the last tour)

Ha, I totally get that. When I saw him in 2017, I hadn't really heard the Mothlight boot so I had only the barest knowledge that people were praising one of the songs called "Right Now" so I sort of thought The Mayan was that song before I caught the title lyric
