Thank you! This is a really solid show and might become my go-to Panda Bear bootleg for this era.

No worries! And yes I'm really psyched with how it came out quality-wise too. When you listen on headphones, it almost sounds like he's playing right in front of you.

Hahaha when I was finishing it up I was on the fence about whether or not I should reduce the bass a little but then when I heard that part I was like "nope, this is probably truer to how it was there"

This sounds brilliant and great to have such an excellent recording of Sabbath. All the new songs are sounding fantastic though, it's such an interesting left turn for him. I genuinely didn't expect him to go so deep again. The melodies are really unusual and totally swerve what have become slightly stale Panda tropes. This is sounding like the best material I've heard from him for a decade, but it almost sounds like it could have been released after Young Prayer and before Person Pitch. So so great.

Thanks for mastering! Great boot
Did Drone always have that metronome going on in the background of the higher pitch?

Thank you! I'm confident I can bring the same sense of realism and openness to older lossless/HQ recordings if there is any interest in that. I think it would be the closest thing to somehow going to one of those old shows again. But maybe I'm just a nostalgic sap.
Btw, I couldn't agree with you more, Stan. I was trying to articulate what you just said perfectly. It totally gives me YP -> PP vibes. But somehow totally different too.
There's been a lot of "where did the magic go?" talk here for the past few years. I think this goes to show it's still there.

all the new songs are amazing
gonna be tricky to avoid the ol' demoitis but I have faith the studio will do these jams justice
it's in most of the pitches at varying speeds
perhaps it's always been in the live version of the song to help him pace the long long notes, I've never heard a panda boot this good so maybe it just hasn't come through. I'm pretty sure it's new though

I thought the same thing about Drone! I’m pretty sure it’s new, but it’s unusual to hear this level of detail in a bootleg so who knows. Either way, I love it.

Would have to dig thru the Greaper thread to check but I wanna say that Miotosis Garage was the name that Noah called his writing/rehearsal space in Lisbon

These were recorded at Noah's old beach pad across the Targus from Lisboa .
He used to use the large subterranean garage at the house to record and also
to rehearse . The house was called Miosiotis ( i believe its a type of flowering plant ) .
Hence Miosiotis Garage .

lucasmoreira wrote:hey sonic, there are some articles talking about the album being recorded in texas too (centipede hz was recorded there), but i guess thats not true.. right?
also can you tell us when did panda made this stuff? cause he jumped from tomboy to chz and then during the chz tour he stopped at atp with all this material....
Ola lucashhhhh !
Panda made the stuff in spring & beyond last year .
Some of the Trax were started during the CHZ
Sessions at night after the sessions , but most of the stuff was done at miosiotis garage ( crosswords original full name )....
That was a pad Noah had outside Lisbon across the Targus , by the beach .
He sold it to move into a sick spot in principe real , where some stuff was done .
He has a few places he uses as studios including a spot in the Barrio Alto .
Namouche , where the majority of the tracking was done & all the vox recorded is near the beautiful Zoo in Lisbon . We'd eat lunch with the crocodiles some days .
Pigeons , other days when the crocs were too tired ....
That zoo is the bomb .... Noah was gonna call one if the jams lisboa zoo at one point
- one we didn't work on . He had a bunch of overspill even from the 18 or so songs we did work on .
Give my regards to st Antonio ! Petek x
