I would like to donate too but i will be more comfortable with an official okay from the band, i doubt they dont have bigger plans for that stuff and if money is the only issue I dont see why they or domino wont help funding this

Well yes obviously, but the band already gave them the okay to film and record. It might not be a priority for the band or label to get this recording/video completed. They do seem to have vague plans to record this material but doesn't seem like they had any plans for these recordings beyond giving the ok to MBV.

i'll just say 1. the band and MBV have been in touch and 2. i fully expect it to see the light of day in a fully realized form

the caveat is that it was not communicated to me how much of a priority this is, how imminent this is. could be 2018, could be 2020, there are "plans" but who knows if those are just intentions or if the wheels have already been set in motion

That's so great to hear, even if it's an indefinite timeline. It's enough for me to know that the band wants to get this out there and is making some kind of efforts towards an official release. Major props to dud for working on this, thank you!!

thanks man! yeah honestly i feel really good about it. maybe i could be reading into certain things that were said to me but i got the sense that the band may have actually contacted MBV before MBV contacted the band, so this effort could very well have given the band the idea to do something serious with the footage, so it feels super cool to be a part of that. and you are all a part of that too for showing so much interest on here and on reddit! seems like our work here is done and now we just have to wait patiently and see what pans out...
