It might seem weirdly limiting, since you need a turntable to listen to it and you can't listen on the go. But that's totally not the intention as far as I can tell. Panda explained his reasoning in the article, he prefers for people to listen to it in a certain way for certain qualities to come across better. To me that's totally his prerogative...the idea that all music has to be readily available via streaming or downloads is like a universally accepted assumption nowadays but there's no reason it has to be that way. He's just trying something different, something special for fans to experience like thespectrum said
To me it's no different than stuff like Coral Orgy being live only, ODDSAC never being released as audio only, Pullhair Rubeye being released reversed, etc. It might seem antagonistic to fans because it's inconvenient but I don't see it like that at all...it's just something different. Obviously someone will rip the EP to digital so you'll still get to hear it even if you don't have a turntable, too.
Maybe some ppl are just upset because they want to hear a single and I can empathize, I wanna hear this stuff asap too, but at least we don't have to wait all that long
I genuinely just think it's a bit of a cringeworthy statement to only release on vinyl. Special edition, yeah. Limited early release, yeah. But no matter how much he wants to be an underground dance producer, he's not. He's ridden a wave of indie music in the 2000s, grew in confidence playing on Dave's amazing songs and eventually released his own amazing music, which he's still known for, and then some good music. He was on the last Daft Punk album. It's like Seinfeld going back to stand up.
Wish the band would log back on here and tell us all to shut the fuck up

nod to the folks = mystery stage aka free from it all

second EP will be called 'A Night with the Homies' just wanna call that right now
An Evening with the Dudes
I reckon the supposed second EP will be released 2-4 months after this one, also vinyl only, then a cd/digital release will follow of them both as a double EP
I'm just stoked that we're finally going back to the roots of music with good honest vaneelo, as me and my homes call it. I often press the MONO button on my stereo whenever I'm playing the music on speakers so I can hear it as the artist intended. Once again, these guy's are two steps ahead. One step, I don't need to press MONO and the second step is just I'm always guessing what's coming next. Stop over thinking things, stop analysing art and just frigging ENJOY something for once. Let the needle hit that groove, it's music time.
all my bitches cook grits
In addition, he pops a jump but not too hard so he had to carefully measure the specific effort and then implement it.
all my bitches cook grits
a questioning of semantics by hash
i hope the rips r good quality!!! i wasnt able to preorder(
Something is wrong with some of you. So much negativity. Who gives a fuck how he releases it? We're getting new music in less than two months. That's something I'm thankful for. And why don't you guys just buy the vinyl and then download it elsewhere? It's practically the same thing. And you don't know how the plans will evolve for this record before it releases.
I think some of you get off on being whiny crybabies.
My point is the album doesn’t need to publicly exist at all. You can record an LP and then just give it to your kids or use it as a coaster. That wouldn’t make PB a jerk, especially given how ungrateful, entitled, and critical some of his fans are. You are not owed anything for consumption, in any format, so there is nothing to “apologize” for.
