the vinyl-only release with no download code is kind of infuriating

Ok here's that info, scrambledgreggs posted this in the Desert Daze thread...hopefully another EP coming later on, but I'm happy with whatever we get

He said directly that they were very electronic and kinda poppy, and seemed to imply it would be like a introverted, slightly calmer continuation of Painting With, but there will be variety to the sound.

Is an LP actually coming out though? I don’t think he mentioned anything about that in the press release

Cool statement and sentiment, though, and glad he's acknowledged that the fluff detracts from the raw power of his music.

Seems like we wouldn't since its vinyl only? Unless it's an exception or a non-ep single which would be sick. Him and avey r not into singles this solo cycle it seems, but we'll see

Vinyl only is still sinking in. Kinda crazy but kind of cool. Works for me cuz I literally stopped storing music on my pc like a couple years ago for better or worse but I guess we'll have a nice rip quickly regardlrss

I don't know about any other new material coming out other than this EP, but I was thinking this morning about new AC...

Most of the rest of Avey's tour got cornpilled except for a few shows, including these at the end:

NY
Asheville
Lisbon (tonight)

I went to the Asheville show and obviously Geo was there as the opener, but Deakin was also there. Got me wondering if they were back in the studio there... and now Avey flies over to Portugal to see Noah? Makes me hope something is afoot...

i figured he was going to be in lison rehearsing for sung tongs. it would be awesome if they are gearing up for some writing or recording in december though when panda is back stateside. especially if panda is (presumably) going to be touring some next year.

yeah, i don't really see what people are worrying about... the rip will be wonderful, no doubt. a lot of my digital files are vinyl rips, and they're phenomenal (thanks pbthal)

Anyone live near any of the "Find Nearest Store" locations to check if these places already have a copy?Or is it all just pre-order?

I don't have a record player so the vinyl only aspect bums me out a little (though I'm sure it'll sound great on my friends set-up! And I like the idea conceptually).
I'm worried because vinyl-rips are never as rich sounding as a legit FLAC file... all the vinyl rips I have, Tomboy Box Set Singles version included (though no shade to whoever ripped it because it's still my preferred way to listen to Tomboy!), are all so quiet... and just based off the boots you can already tell there's some great layers and textures in these new tracks (and I'm going to want to BLAST this!).

Counting (really DEPENDING) on everyone here to do the best rip possible PLEASE!

some of these are guesses based on incomplete information, but i'd be surprised if there were multiple youtube IDs close enough for confusion. there are a few more that are seemingly legible that i can't work out—possible that some videos have been taken down? but i'd still expect to see links show up in google

they're seemingly all in the same playlist, but it looks like the playlist itself (FLA0Mg0rpi43BMC8N_sMh0SA) was made private sometime after their AMA last february
