pitchfork and the domino store say it is out january 12 despite the instagram description saying january 19. so maybe a week earlier then??

Wonder what was behind the decision to go vinyl only. Doesn't seem like he addresses it in his write up. It doesn't bother me since people will def rip it but I'm just curious. I'm kinda excited to get the record in the mail and then listen to it for the first time, rarely if ever get to do that, so maybe that's the intention. Maybe he's just inspired by DIY/underground labels that do physical releases only, either way it's a cool idea

i bet it relates to how he was saying in the description that he wants the song to live in the air and not in headphones. he describes centering a lot of the music to increase the power. seems like digital files lend to headphone or laptop listening and he'd prefer speakers.
