That would be cool, it made the wait way cooler for Grim reaper. Like if it were a game

Boot's supposedly going to be up once the feeling store gets home and fiddles with it's. He/she said Sunday or Monday but it surely can't be today, I'd be knackered after a weekend at a festival. Maybe tomorrow?

tbh this material is straight up fire. like a more electronic pbvsgr. I truly hope the final product gives this raw feeling and doesnt get overproduced like grim reaper. hopefully he releases it real soon

I wonder if he did some crazy quality control to get it down to that length or if these represent all or most of the songs from this era...

I wonder if he recorded the dynamic shifts that we are hearing in the boot, for all those who pined for the #drops to get recorded on Greaper, this may b tha album, short and sweet with sugary droplets aplenty.

Having a very bad day. Thank you based panda, also thank you based feeling store who I think is called Shawn. Thank you based CA for delivering me this moment of joy.
Y'all mother truckers ready for another roll out? I'll look forward to F4ing again.

calling it now: the pitch shifting vocal effect that he uses throughout the new bootleg is going to be the new hocketing of this album cycle

it's pretty interesting stuff. the melodies and choruses (especially around the 21-22 minute mark) are oddly pastoral / folksong-like. only panda bear could combine it so effortlessly with heavy house beats
also re: the pitch shifting, i feel like it'll be used on the album more sparingly than he does in the live performance. just because it feels like he's playing with it a lot rather than putting it in deliberate places (kind of like how on the sung tongs tour they were pretty much constantly triggering samples at times to play with how they overlap/interact, when on the album they feel specifically placed rather than always present)
...either that or entire songs will be pitch shifted lol

^agreed, was half joking. i like it a lot actually, just hope it isn't overused
the 'we're all deep-sixed, washed up in a sewage slick' part of 'animal / mineral / vegetable' is so damn catchy, can't stop singing that. that whole song man. also the chord change after 'i mean i guess i'm saying probably happens to everyone'

The song after crosswords (free from it all?) is fucking amazing, it was stuck in my head all day. the chorus after the beat drops back in is amazingly triumphant

"animal mineral vegetable" was a phrase tossed around quite a bit back when sboom was teasing pbvsgr details, wasn't it?

Listening to the boot now!...
Holy shit I love the guitar sample in the intro of Falling Asleep at the Wheel! Thinking this might be two separate tracks? Hard to tell with these transitions...
Mystery Stage is perfect! Really hope the studio versions are similar in length to the live stuff. Sort of a mixture of Greeper and Person Pitch....
Animal Minimal Vegetable is another banger. Could be the single. The bass better be bumpin' on the album. Dubbers gonna dub!
Force Quit reminds me of Surfer Hymn. Dig it

me too! probably because i really got into the EP and 7" formats this year as a way of releasing music. in general we attach so much more importance to "the album" than EPs, but both forms have a lot to offer -- i think AC is a great example of using both formats really well... Fall Be Kind being a kind of holy grail of EPs in my world. Mr Noah is also an all-timer for me. one of the best releases this year was the Rock Pool EP by Cate Le Bon.
the boot is awesome

hmmm whoa ..this is totally intriguing right?
Im gonna throw out the idea that Panda's had this track under wraps for a while, getting it right for just the right time to drop.... We got a recording of the v first performance

pretty sick the panda train is pulling into station again... seems like only yesterday that the Crosswords Ep dropped.
shit is sounding fire but might wait til better boot or for the whole dang thing to drop before dipping my toes in deeper.
i honestly dont love the voice-actor for zelda in botw even tho that game is perfect, but he makes it sound pretty damn dank anyway. kinda sick.

Well, it sounds exactly like a Greaper off-cut, so it's not surprising it's been hanging around for a while.
