Ok, I've been lambasted because I don't know the difference between panda and avey (forever in greed is my favourite panda song lulz)
But seriously, lyrics to leaf house? Because he's not inside, or because it's not tidy?

Wait a minute. Avey is singing lead on Working? Damn I can kinda hear it.

This is one that I am really unsure about; AV sang it live, but in a lower register, and I wonder if in fact Panda sang it in the studio; it just sounds so much like his timbre. Fun not to know I guess..

I feel like the classic example of this is how Avey sounds so much like Panda when he signs "when the sun goes down we'll go out again". I def think it's Avey, but I don't blame anyone for thinking it's Panda. Avey sounds so diff when he sings that part live, though all of their vocals in general take on a different energy in the live setting

Yeah I mean there's no way to know for sure obviously, i just think it would be odd if Panda sang just that one part of SC in the studio. Like I think it'd be more trouble than it's worth to have Panda record a separate take with just the bridge or whatever. So I'm pretty sure it's Avey but again can't say for sure

I have no clue what you mean by "lower register"...??
I will never ever understand how there's any ambiguity in Working. We're talking about the same song right? Do people just see Panda in that scene and think " oh it must be Panda singing just like Avey's singing in What Happened and Mr Fingers". I'm bewildered by it. And I do get a lot of the confusion with something like the Summertime Clothes bridge or Guggenheim Jam or something.

So, after some deliberation and discussion, the consensus is in fact, "are you deaf?"

Lol
Dunno exactly who does the autotuney arpeggio thing but the "GOOD DREAMS" part is them both harmonising, Panda doing the higher part
What's interesting about that song is that Panda almost certainly does sing a part that Avey sang live: "Taking it lightly..." etc

Working is so clearly Avey. No ambiguity there. But the fact people still get that confused proves my point.

I think a lot of their production is improvised. Like if they hit a note at the wrong time, they're not going "dammit! restart!" Some examples would be a good chunk of Sung Tongs since a lot of those songs are completely formless. There's also a part in Grass where drums come in too early and the beat falls for a second.

I would counter and say maybe a minor part of their production is improvised but not a majority. They write the songs and arrangements before they go into the studio and probably embrace some of the spontaneity of the performances but I am certain they are pretty meticulous in making sure everyone is happy with their parts and re-do things till they feel its correct. Though some "mistakes" like the ones you mention could have been kept in to make it feel more psychedelic (tricking of the mind's expectations).
Avey mentioned a moment in STGSTV in the AMA on Monday that illuminates a bit on their process and studio frustrations.

Someday was a really hard song for noah and i to get on spirit and so at one point we went outside and my parents had all these trees in front of their house and we started throwing pine cones and rocks at trees for awhile cause we were so frustrated that we couldn't record that song. i think that worked cause we went back in and got it.

I can't hear Panda's part on "good dreams" at all. What am I listening for?
Anyway, I'm on the side of AC being a lot more meticulous than most people think. Painting With was the *fastest* they ever recorded vocals according to interviews, despite the many harmonies and passages that IMO seem harder to perform than most of their previous stuff.
Geo even said in the Moogfest interview that they had done a song in the past with 100 tracks, with context implying that it was mostly vocal tracks. Of course, I don't think there was that much room for spontaneity on MPP, assuming said song is on there (which I'm guessing it is).

I think there's another interview where one of them says some songs on Feels had 100+ tracks

I'm not sure if this has been noticed before.
At the end of Brother Sport, Panda Bear is harmonizing with himself. There's a higher melody and a lower one. They dominate each other, alternating every line. Notice with one line, the lower harmony is in the center of the stereo field. On the next line, the higher melody will take its place. This is the case throughout the whole Brother Sport outro. They're always alternating.

I think that's Avey harmonizing with Panda. I haven't paid too close attention to the stereo panning but they do alternate who's singing the higher note. On "Halfway til you're fully grown" Panda is singing the higher part, and on "you got a real good shot" Avey sings the higher part, etc. You can hear it pretty clearly on live versions
Also kinda similar is in the chorus of My Girls, Avey jumps up an octave in the middle of "to seem like I care about"
