Loved it. Bodes well for the rest I think. Sounded way more hi-fi/studio quality than I was expecting too.

Wow, they just played it....that was super super nice. Very simple acoustic song w/ Avey signing some pretty direct lyrics. Bodes well for the rest I think. Sounded way more hi-fi/studio quality than I was expecting too.
Absolutely, I thought they were going to go the Campfire Songs live recording route for a majority of it. The dry vocals are welcome though, really nice to hear them stripped down and somewhat minimal. I was hoping for a bit more abstraction and ambience, but maybe some of the other tracks on the album will be. Really upset I won't be able to go to my local store at the opening for RSD but I am going to swing by after work and see if they have any copies left.

To me, it most resembled the acoustic Pulleys from the kexp session

I think it really reminds me of "Foetus No Man" in some sense.

The song was good, but I feel I really only like it because it's getting me hyped for the release. I have a feeling that was the worst song (and that's not a bad thing) on the release though to be honest. Cannot wait.

Awesome! Listening now. Any chance someone made a tracklist from the inspiration songs they were playing before?

So... I live in a medium sized city and 3 record stores are participating in record store day. I'm not sure if any of them are getting this record but I would assume they would each get at least one, right? Should I wait in line?

The vocals immediately made me think of Sleeper Factory and Sasong, two of the most beautiful, heartfelt Avey songs. I absolutely love this and did not expect anything like it. So excited that Dave still has this in him.

instant classic. I immediately know that I'll go back to this song more than my favorites from the past two eras.
I was expecting something more in line with ttg or new psychoactives, which I enjoy both, but this is really next level. agree with whoever said this was the best thing since oddsac.
