just in case you guys aren't really familiar with r/indieheads, animal collective is one of the top 3 most admired bands on that board. i have seen so much AC praise and basically not a single person who dislikes them; the worst it gets is "i can't really get into them except for MPP" and that's fairly common. in these roasts they're basically poking fun at themselves, since they love all these bands.

by the way, i absolutely love thinking fellers. but i haven't gotten into sun city girls yet. best place to start?

it was a joke album release some people on YouTube made a video about a little while after Strawberry Jam came out (and before Water Curses was announced so it was funny that Water Curses has a pretty similar sounding name). it had a couple of guys impersonating Avey and Panda being interviewed and it was really well done
