if i'm remembering right, we were told there were 2 unused songs from the PW sessions, right? i wonder if that could be peacemaker and goalkeeper, and then this could have been recorded when jimmy mack was? hopefully we find out at some point.

From the Puck Soup interview, Geo talks a little about Goalkeeper (previously known as "Goalie," which was written by Noah) and how one of his contributions to the song was adding a sample of Doc Emrick. So it does seem like at least that song was recorded during the PW sessions, but they could've always rerecorded it when they did Jimmy Mack last year.

Also, I'm pretty sure it was mentioned that Jeremy Hyman recorded with them on Jimmy Mack

The EP contains three new original tracks recorded during the Painting With era, and a studio recording of “Jimmy Mack,” (made famous by Martha & The Vandellas) performed during their live sets from this era.

Sick jam. The rhythmic clicks definitely sound PW-ish, much like the floridada rhythmic sounds. Slightly reminiscent of pulleys too. Dig the jam a lot and how it's a departure from PW stuff, not that I didn't like that record.

I don't like the video aesthetic, but the song is nice. Honestly the video kinda hurts the songs earnestness by making it a but too on the nose with hearts and sunshine n stuff. Really dig the parts where Avery freaks out though.
