First ave can be kind of a miserable venue with sound issues

Also when they send out the guy into the crowd to sell beer like its a baseball game during the show its one of the tackiest things ever. Especially when there are at least three bars in the venue.

Man, that one guy from Ratking on the left side of the stage with the mic and everything was getting really pissed at the sound guy lol he tried to get his monitors up for like four or five songs

Gripes:
Floridada sounds bad. Like really bad. They gotta figure it out. It's just not working live.

I love Alvin Row. Its a great song. It sounds great how they're playing it now. I just think it's just too deep of a cut to close your show with in 2016. Besides the fanboys in the front few rows freaking out to it, most people were just looking around wondering what it was and looking at their phones. The end of an AC show should be joyous for everyone not an inside song for the true 'heads. Honestly I think a Fireworks rework would be a great closer and fit in with the vibe of this era.

Fantastic show. I was vibing super hard to most of it, especially daily routine and Alvin row. Also didn't know Geo was a flyers fan, he gave me a fistbump when he came on for the encore. Met him after, he's a cool dude.

unfortunately, i agree about floridada. its like theres not enough happening in the song for it to sound good, you know what i mean? when its just their vocals and drums it sounds awkward. too bassy at my show too

Vocals sounded great on every other song but you couldn't hear Dave in the song except for the chorus and Noah sounded off. Also transitioning to the song they tease the wah-y synthy bass (for lack of a better descriptor) that is so prominent in the song, but once they actually start the song it's nowhere to be heard. I felt like I was listening to a bootleg of the song at the show.

This was my first AC show and I couldn't be happier their performance or the sound. I didn't dig Painting With much and I was sort of one of those "they don't have the magic" guys, but what they did last night was fucking transcendental. Songs I didn't even much care for on the album, like hocus pocus, were just beyond incredible live. Truly awesome. I can see now that the magic is still there and as strong as ever. This has really inspired me to see them again.

I had an amazing time, met a few other CAer's there, who drove from south Dakota (I think haha, I was a little drunk) I cant remember their usernames but i'll call them A and D. Couple awesome guys, had a great convo with them before the AC set. Hit me up if you see this, bros!

The morning before yesterday I found one of my oldest best friends/roommate dead in his room, and I haven't known how to feel since. I was worried about going to the show being disrespectful towards him, but I know he would've wanted me to go, he knew how much I loved them. I was having a hard time beforehand, but I was mobbin deep with like 5 of our mutual friends, so they helped me.

The only shitty thing that happened during the show was at one point I thought I felt someone like gratuitously touching my ass. I turned around and it was some black chick dancing with some dude. I was like "hey, what's up?" She said it was her purse and to "ignore it." It was literally like directly on my ass for several minutes, and so I asked her if she would do something about it, like move her purse to the other side. The dude was immediately like, "do you wanna scrap, bro!?" and the chick was like, "Ummmm, sorry my purse is molesting your ass, what do you want me to do, it's a crowd, etc." They were just being total pieces of shit. I moved, but that ruined a significant chunk of it for me unfortunately.

Anyway, The show was everything i hoped for and more in terms of the music.

That tends to happen with minny crowds, in my experience. This crowd was pretty moshy, which i can get down with but they were moshing during fucking loch raven??? Oh well, I was getting smashed up against the front barrier at points but the energy was still unreal. I saw you before the show, was gonna say something but by the time I realized who it was you were at the back of the line lol. Sorry to hear about your friend, that's absolutely terrible. Hopefully the show gave you a bit of happiness.

weird, my friend and i thought floridada was a total highlight at the chicago show.
