Nothing happening tomorrow is cool with me though because it's pancake Tuesday. In fact it's pancake Tuesday right now technically and if I was so inclined I oculd waltz right up to the kitchen and get flipping, freebird or no Goddamnit

what the fuck is wrong with this album!!!!!! since when is Domino the fort knox of the music world???
when an album freebirds too early it makes me sad, but it's like almost 10 days away and no sign of flinching! :flail: :v

I feel like they limited the early releases and implored those copy recipients to be decent peeps and maybe dangled the loss of some awesome future swag/experiences over their heads.

This feels like the dawn of Animal Collective for the "rest of the world" to me, and I see them wanting to protect the release AMAP.

I called Waterloo Records in Austin and asked if they had a pre-release copy I could peep w/ staff, and the gal said to check back on Friday. I don't think she understood what I was asking. :drugz:

im in Austin too so if you hear something, say something

I'm on top of Waterloo on What(dotceedee) and will be (one of) the first to report if either source produces any jam(s).

I wonder if they'll reincarnate Water Curses with all new samples and rejuvenated energy for this tour...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's the perfect song for this era AC.

Yesterday me and my buddy dropped acid and went for a hike. Up at the peak was a big mud puddle next to a little rock wall.
I got this whole caveman proto-art vibe being up their in the mountains so I put on the first two singles and jumped into the primordial goop pit.
I spent a good amount of time flinging mud at the rock wall with a stick and smearing it into lines and shapes.
It felt like I kinda understood how AC is moving backwards, shedding its ambience and reverb for something much more raw and in-your-face.. And how doing so in the right way could create something more colorful and inspired then they ever have before.
Anyway, tripped acid in the mountains, became a caveman, my body is now beyond ready for this album

Some guy on atease just pointed out that it's national bagel day today.

Would be a good time to drop a single, maybe vertical or hocus pocus.

If only there was some kind of bagel-related song they could release.

Especially on vinyl (not to be an LP-snob) but to watch the thing spin and there still be SO MANY grooves for that needle to dig through. Goddamn new music is so so so exciting.

Here's a challenge, do I download this album from domino as soon as it comes out or do I wait for the lp to make its way to me? It could be over a week's wait so I reckon the download is what's going to happen. Nice sort of romantic idea though to wait for the record to arrive for the first listen

You could make them both separate experiences. Listening to the download first, I think listening to the vinyl after is still an exciting experience to anticipate.
