This is how I imagine life in America. A mixture of Peanuts, Ken Burns, The Wire, John Hughes, and what many people see as over confidence but it's really just putting a brave face on things to cover regret and shame and feeling you've no place in the world but you'd best make a home from home while you're here. I adore America's tragic Romanticism and working class sentimentality and vain quest for dignity above all else because I come from Liverpool, the self pity city for travellers who ran outta steam.
