I think to mess with the system (fuck the system!) a band should release the remix album FIRST and not tell people (?) and THEN the "remix" album which is the "real" album!

the only example I can kinda think of right off the bat were those fun multi-ball version madness akorn/fambly s/t II thingies!

I suppose a remix EP would be a good way to give the songs the stretched out, ambient qualities that some peeps believe they're lacking in. It could be pretty cool, I think
