what if we only had floridada in 30s amazon sample version? imagine if the bridge was the only part we'd get to hear.. our perception of that song would be so much different. now apply that to the other traxx..

Agree that Bluish is a fantastic video, but my favorite is probably Peacebone.

Not really digging the FloriDada video, mostly because I had something totally different in my head and I'm not super into the retrofuture 3D rendering aesthetic they're using

lol the mpp videos were sooo bad. that string of vids with girls butts as a major visual element

The Brothersport video is soooo good though, in my opinion.

yeah, at least better than the floridada video lol

I was expecting the AC crew at the beach with like an intense bloom effect and lots of movement. This is interesting...

I'm fairy sure jfw7 was joking.

Side note though, through research I was doing for Stan's Youtube Comments thread I happened upon a girl in the comments for Brothersport claiming to be the young girl from the video. She was like, 'Ooh, I remember that day out on the farm', or something. I gave her account a cursory once over and, eh, I reckon it could be her.

Holy shit, Wonder Showzen is one of my faves! I didn't realize how diverse those folks are, super impressive and inspiring. The Floridada vid is so different than anything I would associate with Wonder Showzen, what a broad visual range! And they are musicians too? Nuts.

agreed that the "fake digital aesthetic" is off-putting and will be out of vogue soon. just not an appealing look for me. however, i did like the planets portion and thought that they nailed the color palette

nope, the middle batch of mpp videos were all shit

i like the adult swim work from these guys but the aesthetic feels played by now for mvs. it seems like kind of an obvious choice or something. like people begging for a tim+eric production (in 2016???)

I don't mind the mpp videos that much, but the centipede hz videos were really lame. Today's supernatural was alright I guess, but everything else was just shit. Never let Gaspar Noe direct your music video.

Bluish is my fave vid of theirs
Then WCWAR
My Girls/Boys Latin

to me those are their only really great videos...

Middle Tier:
Brother Sport
Monkey Riches
Today's Supernatural
Fireworks
Surfers Hymn
Slow Motion
Guys Eyes
Comfy in Nautica
Water Curses
Alsatian Darn
Summertime Clothes
Oliver Twist
Crosswords
Lucky1
Catchy Was Contagious
Little Fang
Mr. Noah
Bros (maybe lower tier I have no idea)

Didn't Enjoy:

FloriDada (okay I enjoyed it alright, but I can't get past it repeating so much from Boys Latin)
You Can Count on Me
Take Pills (maybe mid-tier, who cares)
Applesauce
Peacebone (the fan one with puppets is awesome though and made me finally love the song)
In the Flowers
Tropic of Cancer (cool enough vid but doesnt match the song at all for me)

something like that, probably forgetting some. all the Oddsac clips are top tier, and all the CHz release visuals Abby Made would be in the middle tier I think. some of the simple patterny ones like Lucky1 and Alsatian and Water Curses, and the surf video ones should be lower than some that are pretty polished and cool like Oliver Twist and Monkey Riches I guess

many of their videos just seem lazy, or quickly done.

actually Oliver Twist, Monkey Riches, and ESPECIALLY Surfer's Hymn are borderline great. Yeah I think SH is one of their best after rewatching it.

I wish they would include themselves in their videos more often. their vids always seem a little impersonal to me! for example I wish it was Noah in that Crosswords vid instead of that guy. Guess they're too shy or humble for that.

It's almost like a law of nature that Anco can't make a good music video, though I don't really have a problem with that. In fact I kind of like that all their videos suck.

That said D. Perez came correct with the Grim Reaper tour visuals. Those were amazing...it's too bad there's no real document of them online.

Wish they edited in Noah's dance moves from fecal matters in there instead. In fact....*opens final cut pro*

Surfer's hymn is not an official video but I agree it's right up there with WCWaR. A lot of the fan made videos are better than the official ones e.g. FloriDada

I never said that, and you getting defensive like this on an internet message board about a band we're all passionate about is really turning me off from the whole experience

I think PeteK was the one that brought it to our attention back in June 2011, but according to P4k it was made by mssngpeces and not official. Maybe they did it to gain publicity. Anyway it's a simple but effective concept that mirrors the lyrics, much like WCWaR

It really is a shame that all of the Perez visuals from the Panda Bear tour never turned into anything as an official release.
I remember being absolutely captivated by the stuff he showed.

Yeah I wish there was a digital copy of the live visuals synced up with the album. Something like what Abby did for CHz. But I guess that's a lot of work, and they were probably only intended for the live shows. It would be cool though.

Those visuals look so amazing, I never got a chance to see PB during the GR era :( We've gotten so much though, definitely can't complain.

That's ... maybe the best video I've ever seen.

The third guy to strut looks exactly like my Uncle Ignatz. Poor Ignatz. He lost his wife to a runaway passenger train. When Aunt Lucy died, he ate their tablecloth. Such was his grief.
