i was wondering if those were supposed to be the new rev green > fireworks/ guys eyes> taste / new town burnout> monkey riches album centerpiece.

like for sj, they got in that emotional, aggro guitar pop, near emo zone, for mpp it was that beach boys harmonies/counterpoint synth pop dream drone zone, or that 'in the paint' epic jam soulful dark vibe like for chz. whats the new sweet spot?

All these descriptions of Painting With are making me think of The Residents' Duck Stab/Buster & Glen - the album where they took all their weirdness and constrained it to standard-length 3-minute pop ditties. Still completely bizarre and alien but now in the pop format. Not to mention The Residents are a prime example of Dadaism in music.

Still fucking excited for the album and I love where they're going with its concept. The guys just seem so comfortable with their approach and its sound this time around. I already ordered my LP (Panda cover), but man I need that X-mas album freebird!

florida, and prbly New Orleans and Texas dates and a couple other gulf coast will prbly be added towards the end of the tour or before... they seem to do this regularly

Havent listened to snippits yet, probably won't. I hope they do a stream of it, I really loved listening to Centipede that way.

I wonder if they had to push the release date due to the fact it takes over 6+ months to press vinyl nowadays.

i guess im the only one whose been going thru a minor/major depression since the thanksgiving airport stream becus of a seeming physical dependence on expected freebird/stream tht just rlly hasnt been satiated by floridada/amazon samples at all and whose personal life has been drastically to slightly effected in an adverse way by release anxiety even tho hes in his 20s, not that it would be normal for a yonger person rlly

Quick question, does anybody know if when the pre-sale tickets are ordered there will be extra surcharges after whats listed on the site? I'm buying tickets for a group and need to know and won't have time to look first and then organize more tomorrow because aiming for that Chicago show

What I see lists $32 for Chicago and I don't see anyway to see if there are gonna be any surcharges. Thanks.
