im not sure if you have a shitty record player, but most animal collective albums have better mastering for the vinyl compared to the digital mastering (especially chz). you should definitely listen to the new album on vinyl if you're ordering it anyway.

There was a deluxe pre-order for cHz too right? I'm gonna grab my copy from the store when it it comes out most likely and would like to get the deluxe for sure, unless it's preorders only?

I'm really relieved to hear FloriDada, i got a little worried after hearing the Michael Remember practice they shared. It was cool, but not what i wanted with a new studio album. I love experimental animal collective, but I feel like their earlier stuff satisfies that for me, structered animal collective seems like the natural progression of their sound.

Digging Floridada, I think it's an interesting change to do something more punchy than droney like they've done the past few years with AC. Hope they tour in the east coast soon as well. Also if they put in some radio shows with their tour that'd be even cooler like a KEXP session. Anyway I think this new album is looking to be solid now and after Avey Tare and Pandas last albums it's cool that AC is doing their thing now.

Love the water curses tempo to this jam. These Avey Panda back and forth vocals is going to be cool. I hope PB goes to the feels type standing drum kit on stage for this tour. Very excited for the February. It's songs like this that make Geo such an important part of this band, the soundscapes are so big.

I have a theroy with a lot of albums that the second song on the album is usually the best or at least one of the best (CHz, MPP, Fall Be Kind, Feels, Sung Tongs, PBVSGR, Person Pitch and so on) So I'm super psyched for Hocus Pocus.

I wonder if they want us to paint with them, save image and post it somewhere? I remember they asked for fans to also do something similar in CHz with their sounds and stuff, I never did it, but this sounds similar but with visuals. What you guys think?

Well, in Floridada they sing a lot about going to different parts of the world so I'd say there is definitely some sort of travel theme going on.

don't think anyones talked about the sticker sheet too much but i think its a really sweet detail
definitely goes with the theme of a sorta universal place, at least based on floridada
they picked a really nice color for em too

I really like the stickers too. It gives the listener the option to customize the cover to their language preference/s, adds to an international, multicultural theme, but what I like most is the extra ties it gives to early 20th century art history and art making. I'm really excited that this became such a multimedia infused project. AC excels when the music is not the only focus

Finally gotten around to listening to FloriDada with headphones. This sound is so insanely left field yet it didn't hit me until now. The song is pretty much perfect.

The fat synth noise in the chorus that seems like its missing a note at the end still hasn't set in properly for me. That verse though. Fucking incredible. So insanely good.
