To set the record straight obviously ODDSAC is a studio album but if you look at the new site closely, and I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere, they count Hollinndagain as their third album but oddsac stands outside of the chronology making CHz their tenth and this their eleventh album. It makes sense not to count it in the same line even though, again, it's obv a studio album but it's it's own thing. It's too collaborative in nature with Danny and too inseparable from the visuals to be an AC album in the normal sense. Plus you've got the fact that oddsac was worked on over the course of four years and predates SJ.
Sorry to nerd.

I found an audio rip of ODDSAC and kind of ignored the visuals from that point onward (not a fan of Danny's style). I enjoyed the album a lot more without the visuals.

You guys do ya thang but just know that to some extent what you're doing is prob a little unholy to the band. I think it's fine to listen to it every now and then, but to never watch it is kinda dirty and I'm sure they would agree, they've basically said as much. Besides how can you not like the visuals??

it'd be cool if the "walked like a dog" song from the 08 glasslands boot turned up in this album

I mean on lyrics alone, slow words could be laying in the grass
"I lay down and i missed it" is the lyric yeah?

He didn't know Mountain Game and Maya and yeah as an extension of that probably doesn't know Slow Words. But I mean if someone wanted to know they could ask him

Ha
Yes accuracy and reality are not part of the theme here !!
think w the new LP , i'm kinda a side 2 guy ....
Summing the wretch is really sweet ( that'd been my single 5c ) ,
Natural selection ( end side 1 ) & On Delay really sweet too.....,
It sounds like its own thing IMO ......"post mpp/chz" but it probably takes the best of both of those a little furthur ....all senses . Might be their most pop record .....
floridada is possibly their first true pop song ....
But , ofcourse , thats always a relative thing w a band like this.....

wooo!!!! sweeet, sounds awesome!!
most pop.. floridada "first true pop song"... hmmmmmm interesting... sounds like this ones gonna go down real easy, but almost certainly be a multi-faceted and layered experience per usual. have this weird feeling that the smooth and crispy feeling of the mix of applesauce is gonna show up..
what colors or like environments do this album make u think of sb? or is that too much info..?

Its pretty sunny . I'd go Acid Yellow .....
Occasional sheets of little pointillist dots of cerulean blue ....
It's really got an "energetic" sorta vibe .....

Its classic old school length . It could fit one piece of vinyl with just the LP tracks ....

I'm picturing the super sunny almost bubblegum parts of hz now like yeah applesauce and especially moonjock but with the shinier electronics and harmonies of mpp and thinking of songs like water curses and winter wonder land and dear god...

Well how bout that then. I suppose it's not too surprising it's pop-oriented given how bubblegum The Burglars sounded. Tickle me pink

Maybe we'll have an EP first — as it was with Mr Noah EP and Mr Noah being a single at the same time?

I wouldn't be mad about a ~45 min album, like hcti or SJ length. especially if there are non-album trax
