The cellphone recordings of these new tracks have a certain charm to them. Reminds me of the ultra lo-fi version of "We Tigers" from the Crack Box.

can the official shortened version just be "painting" pls

I like the idea of disassociated phrases that don't need to have any inherent meaning but are fun to say and just roll off the tongue, that's what I feel like the phrase "painting with" is and it's really pleasant to say. Reminds me of when ur on lsd and the simplest of phrases just sound so foreign and different from their usual meanings.

I think an announcement earlyish tomorrow is a pretty safe bet though, or at least I hope.
Really excited even though I'm honestly not huge on that title or art. The song titles are awesome and so is the Floridada poster thing, strong Black Dice vibes. I can't imagine if I hadn't had to work for awhile earlier. I would have gone crazy. Not listening to the clips btw, and I'm gonna try my hardest not to listen to a single or any freebirds. Without the boots the thought of hearing it unspoiled is pretty mindblowing to me.

Being a band that's made a point to express how special they want the album experience to be, it's hard not to be cynical of this. The first people who heard this album were a passive, captive and probably bored audience. People probably took shits listening to this. I can't imagine a more impersonal way to start the release of this album.

It read more like them taking the literal piss and playing the album in a place everyone would least expect it to play. It's a really funny concept on paper - everyone's first reaction was essentially "WHO is doing WHAT and WHERE?" and it just sounded fake.

Then again I'm talking out of my ass and they could have just really wanted to soundtrack an airport. Cynicism is fine.

I feel u Fov. it's hard to not feel a little cheated that the premiere of these songs was in such a random place especially since these haven't been played live before. that being said, I'm not complaining at all about finally getting some official news and knowing that new jams are coming. also, as the album rollout continues, I wouldn't be surprised if the dudes have some really neat stuff in store for us especially following the super impressive greaper rollout
