kids 10 and younger are free, so I am going to take my 10 and 7 year old girls, I have always dreamed about seeing an AC show with my kids!

Should be awesome, but yeah kinda of expensive.

yeah, if I could choose I would go with

safer
chocolate girl
Mr. Fingers (I know will not happen)
hey light (BBC version)
in the flowers
WWIWS
someday I'll grow to be as tall as the giant
with new stuff,

that is all AC,

Omg if they bring Safer on tour that would the greatest thing for me in the world!! When I met Avey, I had to make it point how much I love that song. That was actually the song that totally changed how I listen to music and it was also the song that made me a full blown AC fan for life!
I wanna go to one of these fest, but I'd hate to spend so Much money if they aren't on a main stage playing for more then just an hr. I would if it was a local IL fest, bc the cost of travel would be low, but to travel to AZ for hr set would be quite upsetting

$75 is pretty pricey, but some AC concerts i've been to have been some of the best experiences in my life. I'm definitely going to go. I love Beck's music as well, and haven't seen him live yet, so that will be cool too.

Last time they were here in Chicago I was 4 tickets for me and friend s and I was a little short so I only got 3 (since it was GA anyways) I didn't think it was going to sell out as quickly as it did, and I had to go on stub hub and get the forth ticket for a 100 bucks!! Man that sucked, considering the other 3 tickets were only like 70 bucks in total lol! But it was worth every penny!! I'm hoping to get my income tax check just in time for this fest! But then Idk , when they drop the full tour I could take my check and go see them at 4 or 5 different shows oppose to just one fest?!
I just can't wait for them to give us the tour dates so I can start planning!

Kinda bummed about the price and festival setting for the AC concert, but I'll keep an open mind. I've never seen them at a festival (and I've never seen Beck) so I'm sure it will be memorable.

that's so cool! i remember showing up super early to an outdoor show during the pre-chz tour and getting to see/hear them soundcheck a few songs, it was really surreal. as we were walking towards the venue we were kind of lost, but then we could hear some sort of music in the distance and eventually i was like 'is that...mercury man?' and then we all started running the rest of the way guided by the king tubby sample lol

Bees! Did not expect that one. Definite highlight for me. Wish they had played more non-PW songs, but it was good to see them live again.

Cujo- that soundcheck video was super sweet! Nothing like having a private AC show on the grass in the sunshine... Cool to watch them work out that middle part of On Delay. Cant say I have ever seen PB move that much behind the ironing board.

I am eager to hear how their show translated to a festival crowd after playing so many small clubs so far.

I enjoyed AC, but I felt like the sound wasn't set up well. Everything sounded airy or tinny, except the occasional tingling Geologist noises. I love Painting With, so I'm glad there were a lot of songs from that album. I'm disappointed there was no Bagels in Kiev though : {.

I ended up losing my mind inflating balloons and dancing to Beck. Makes me really want to come back tomorrow or sunday for more music!

Tonight someone said I was their role model, which made me feel good and confused. A fun time to be alive : }.

here is the on delay... also like some of you noticed the soundcheck versions have this really stripped down song, it's as you can look at the skeleton of the song as it is being built up

haha, slow it down and just listen to the instrumental part, wow, just wow, you can loop it for an ambient symphony

Really surreal, like dud said earlier...

I had just finished eating lunch with my kids and I told my wife I was going to check the venue out , stopped for some added nutrients :weed: :weed: :weed:

So I was having such a great morning and then for this shit to just fall on your lap was really something else... I still feel the high from just chilling out in the sun listening

your welcome, i was just lucky to be there and even more lucky to have recorded... but it made me think why i like all these mistakes and raw out of tune sounds so much... reminds me of what my brother said at the LA concert.

He said that vocals, sound, timing, all of it was perfect and even thou he is not a fan it surprised him how clean their performance was... I don't know the guys but they seem like perfectionist and I was wondering if they are too clean and spot on in reference to the albums original sound. But, this soundcheck version is so out there and imperfect but it hits the sweet spot for me, natural selection is on the verge of going next level in that they are so close to just breaking out and pushing the limit with the hocketing. It seems for me that the hocketing is linear in intensity and instead it should be like a sine wave with it moving in and out at different times and maybe a melody within the hocketing as it changes from start to finish... this seems very difficult to do and maybe they focused on getting it down perfect for live performance but just maybe, MAYBE, they should stop trying to stay true to the album and just push the limit of this PUNK, trash, PCP, induced vibe that I got from natural selection soundcheck.

i hope that makes sense

You lucky fucky ducky

Great videos. Hearing the songs kind of broken up reminds me of hearing pre-mpp material in the 2007-2009 live period. makes me wish these songs would have come together live like the other albums, just so we could hear them do stuff like that. I def understand their decision to do it differently this time tho

Pretty awesome that you got to see that.
