Messi can only do like two things well and the only reason he succeeds is because of the system he's in and the team built around him
0 (Zero) goals in the knockout stages of last world cup is pretty indicative of that! I'm not saying Ronaldo is better, but there are better players than Messi out there currently playing.

I hope they recorded some extra songs for EPs and b-sides! I wonder if not touring the songs in advance will mean there will be less of them this go-around.
It's super exciting. The fact that they didn't want, or feel the need, to flesh out the songs live surely indicates something. Maybe something less experimental is on the way. Maybe it's a total departure from their usual stuff (fully instrumental). It's interesting too because when they do tour it, are they gonna keep incorporating old songs? If it's a true departure, can they?
I can't help but feel all the DJing plays a bigger part. And the modular synths, if they used them.
ive knownthey finished the album for a couple days but it just occurred to me that they didnt tour the songs at all before recording lol... im dense man, to a t

dave told to someone here that the songs are very "animal collective"
i guess is impossible to know what he means with that... but those words makes me think more about a style that they already used than a totally different new one.. somehow i think about lonely wanderer and how it sounds like a track from feels...
i honestly have no idea, the more i think the more i know i will be surprised somehow. they could have picked so many different vibes... i dont want any big spoilers, just wish to have some light in which kind of direction they went.
sorry if someones already mentioned this, cant search the thread right now, but last night noah told a guy im following on instagram that Deak is not on the album.

so yeah Centipede Hz 2
orrrrr literally anything. idk about anyone else, but i don't interpret "very animal collective" as "centipede hz 2." also, I doubt they'd make something similar without the involvement of Deakin
not exactly joking... but also I wouldn't be SHOCKED if it ended up sounding nothing like Centipede Hz
just saying Centipede Hz is the album that most sounds like "Animal Collective doing Animal Collective" to me. And I feel like at the time Centipede Hz was in the works they said it sounded "very Animal Collective" too. Just at this point I'm not really expecting a very sharp turn.

In addition, he pops a jump but not too hard so he had to carefully measure the specific effort and then implement it.
Can anyone confirm that they wrote separately and then came together to flesh things out? And how long they were working together on this thing? I am so scared that they didn't tour with any of this material; it seemed that was a core of their writing process. Is there any other album that they did that with? Early ones like Spirit and Campfire maybe? Can you imagine them truncating their writing process from years to months? I am excited tho.
I wonder what the setup is going to be. Wondering if Pandas sticking with a full kit or not. It'll be especially interesting to see what stays in rotation (from CHz) once they do start touring again. Ima bet New Town Burnout and Amanita
