technically yes it is an album, and now a vinyl record
though it is an "extended play" different from "long play" release
still an "album"

wow, never heard this definition before, so does album mean the size 12" then?

but if you talk about the album version of a single, you usually mean the version of the song on the lp, not an extended 12" mix?

back on topic, i'm afraid this is one of those ac releases i don't quite get. which is weird since i'm a big fan of vashti bunyan too, but i think the songs just are not strong enough here, but that's just my opinion.

The term album originally referred to an actual album, like a picture album, that contained numerous 78s or 45s in its sleeves. It's a hold over from that time, meaning a collection of songs
