So last night at about 10 pm I popped some prescribed ADHD medication and I decided to listen to New Psycho Actives Vol.1 and I just decided I wanted more AnCo after that. So I thought, why not listen to the entire discography in one sitting?

So far I've listened to these, in this order

New Psycho Actives Vol.1
Spirit They’re Gone, Spirit They’ve Vanished
Here Comes The Indian
Hollinndagain
Campfire Songs
Sung Tongs
Danse Manatee
ODDSAC
Feels
Centipede Hz

I'm listening to Strawberry Jam right now.

after I'm done with Strawberry Jam, I'm going to go Peacebone >Water Curses > Honeycomb/Gotham > Crimson > People > Grass > Prospect Hummer > Transverse Temporal Gyrus > Fall Be Kind > Animal Crack Box

and finally end with MMP so I can end this experience on Brother Sport

My question is, has anyone else ever done this? This is like a fever dream mixed a religious experience.

(if you don't beleive here's a link to my lastfm where you can see what I've been playing http://www.last.fm/user/goodbyesaferide/tracks)

happy Monday everyone!! <3

normally i would've done chronological order, but I didn't decide to go all the way until after I had finished Hollinn, and at thatp oint I was like "i'm already out of order why not mix it up"

I've gotten pretty close to whole discography in one day while at work but not completely.

I have done Panda's though.

About 6 minutes ago, I completed a 14 hour and 2 minute long marathon session of every animal collective album, EP, single, and B-side that has been released. I began listening last night and just now finished.

This comes just days after Animal Collective released a new 30 minute long Single/B-Side called New Psycho Actives Vol.1. When that release came out, I listened to it for 7 and 1/2 hours.

Now, to do a little bit of math...

the message announcing New Psych Actives was posted to Animal Collective's facebook page at around 930 pm on March 21. Is it currently around 1230 pm on March 23.

If you combine my listening time of the new release and the marathon I just completed, it means that in the last ~39 hours, I have spent 21.5 of them listening to Animal Collective.

To quote Hector from Blades of Glory - "No one can obsess like I can."

Thank you for your time.

Back in high school I cycled through each of their albums in the car every day in chronological order along with Dave and Noah's solo stuff thrown in
After a while I started noticing that whatever album I'd start the day with usually had an effect on my mood for the first few hours of school at least

This is definitely true for me. Person pitch and MPP always lead me to a good mood, while feels makes me a bit more reserved.

I also base my music choices on the weather outside, most recently with starting to play Lonerism by tame impala when the sun is out and skies are clear. It's my favorite way to listen to that album. windows rolled down all the way :smoking:

SAME

this year I'm going to make a mix CD at the start of every season based on my taste at the change

it will be cool to keep up with it and archive them with a little note detailing my choice of tracks, like a music diary, if you will
