I remember him saying something about his next solo album being the opposite of Down There. More of a happy, sun-shine infused tone of music rather than muddy and dark. "Up Here" he should call it.

Watching this, I gotta give mad props to Angel. She is playing 2 totally different parts between her two hands, and also backup singing at the same time. And her bass-synth playing is always super locked into the groove.

hearing avey's guitar super clearly is really weird... I hate to say this, but some of the guitar work in a sender sounds super silly to me

I LOVE the guitar in A Sender, it does sound out of key at a couple spots but I think it works. It makes it sound jazzy. Lol

Will there be a second Slasher Flicks record, you reckon? Would be the first extended side project, arguably. I feel like he's got it out of his system after CHz didn't quite scratch that itch as he'd expected.

I certainly hope so! This trio has too much potential and Jeremy is so fun to watch. Wonder if they would pull a AC and switch instruments or keep this formation? Honestly I would rather have more Slasher Flicks as opposed to solo electronic stuff.

They're definitely releasing a new video soon. There was a casting call at the end of the summer and Abby has been posting pictures of her editing and complaining about deadlines

wish avey would release an ep of maya, sometimes and other down there tour songs, but i guess the former are kind of ac tracks....

i feel like avey could make his version of grim reaper and itd be just as good, cuz he already has a great bunch of unreleased jams, and they actually seem kind of a similar vibe to pandas stuff since he played them on the solo tour with a similar set up

I completely agree. I don't think Slasher was a particularly deep group of songs but the guy can still write a tune like nobody's business. The fact he's got Maya, Jerome, Sometimes and Lord knows what in the vault makes me think 'release da beast'. He's the one guy who could actually challenge Noah this year. Just bust the shit out. BOOM. HE JUST RELEASED THE GOAT.

Holy crap... I just listened to the Two Sails boot at Knitting Factory thanks to a suggestion from 'dud.' That recording is nuts! It's given me a whole new perspective on his solo stuff and it's introduced me to some great songs like Slow Words (very cool song), In Photographs (this song is insane... in a good way), Sometimes (had heard this before but I dig it), and Death Raga (whoooaa crazy ending

). Yeah I know I'm a couple of years late but whatever.

Also, to whoever said it reminds them of Panda's new stuff: you're right, I thought would be the only one thinking this but these songs are definitely from a similar headspace. Maybe they're a little bit darker but hearing the songs live brings out a fun side in them.

I'm guessing everyone was thinking these songs were going to be on CHz or Slasher Flicks?

we weren't expecting them to be on chz or slasher flix because avey said after one of those shows that the new songs were from the same sessions as down there but didn't make the album, and that they probably wouldn't get a studio release but at the time he said he might do a live ep but we never got that

ever since then he's kinda flip flopped about those songs getting a release every time he's asked. that's why it was such a pleasant surprise to hear that version of 'sometimes'! that's certainly rekindled my hope of hearing those songs get the studio treatment
