AMAZING! I'm so happy for everyone involved with this album as well as the fans. The EP sounds incredible.

That said I won't have any money for the pre-order until Nov. 7th.

Hopefully nothing runs out by then

preordered the 3xLPand shirt, literally could not sit still before I did that and listened to the ep. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyway, the songs are dope af, although there are some parts that I wish were more prominent (eg. flute thing in This Side of Paradise), but that's probably just because I'm used to the boots. I will say this however, the production is pretty maximalist, a la MPP and CHz
Plus, the songs felt too short! I think that's adrenaline though.

There's still Shadow and Davy that could be one or both of those. I hope one of those is a OG Faces/Jabba combo and one is Popdam. But I'm happy with whatever. This EP is so good.

Yeah, I mean if the EP vinyl is included into that 3xLP vinyl release (according to the picture), then one of the three LPs has to exclude the song.

i would've rather had Faces In The Crowd on the LP than Mr Noah. I love Mr Noah but faces in the crowd is just mindblowingly ghood

Guys, it's probably too much, but I think there's another EP (or just a set of songs with visuals) coming next week! Remember Mr. Boom told us that the Reaper would strike thrice? That EP may be named Ms Pacman and contain Cosplay & Boys Latin (with a video, just like it's with Mr Noah this time) maybe, it'd be unexpected for real... though maybe I'm just dreaming/drunk.

Then that extra third LP from the picture would contain 6 songs from 2 EPs excluding Mr Noah & Boys Latin, which are still on the album - 2xLP.

Wow. Last night I was really stoned and fell asleep at 10pm. Lately I've been checking this thread several times (too many times) a day, and then of course I sleep through the first official release... Also I think someone in this thread predicted that he would pull a Beyoncé with the EP and give the album a proper release date, so good call there.

But that's okay because I'm on my third listen-through of the EP already, I'm so happy I could cry

The production is completely fantastic, 5 stars to PB, PK and everyone else who worked on this material. I love the Mr Noah video too!

Boy was I surprised to cue up Faces in the Crowd and get Ms Pacman, and same with Untying the Knot, which is really fantastic—I love the inclusion of the sample at the beginning. And as someone else mentioned, the beginning of Faces def sounds like Syro (which is interesting since it was recorded before Syro came out).

SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW. All the waiting around in this thread, bullshitting, with nothing to do...it was all worth it. January is going to be incredible.

This side of paradise sounds like what mgmt was attempting to do on their self-titled

When Mr Noah started playing i got an intense flashback to him performing live and how amazed i was by that melody and the energy of the song

Other random thoughts: the noise around 0:19 in This Side of Paradise reminds me a lot of some of the noises in Black Dice's "Skeleton"

I have a strong feeling Popadam/Cosplay will be two of the songs left out on the album. They just don't fit in. But I hope we get them as a honeycomb/Gotham type of release. Or better yet, like someone else said, maybe we will get ANOTHER ep with the 3-4 songs we are missing.

Above all.... jabbawaqy better be on the album!!!

Yah. It's sweet. Pretty damn stoked for the full length. Looking forward to actually buying it on the website without getting my order denied (although one thing I noticed when I switched browsers - the website needed to run Silverlight to authenticate my CC info... I clicked allow (it didn't ask me on my first browser) but it still wouldn't go through.

What do you guys think of the vocal mixing on this EP? Considering how PB said in that interview that his vox are pretty up-front on the record, I'd say that's pretty accurate. They may not be quite as loud as they would be in say, a top 40 pop song, but they're nice and audible. Especially on Faces on the Crowd. That's gotta be one of the clearest vocal tracks I've heard on an AC-related release.

I think I remember having this problem with their website before and ended up having to use PayPal. Just added some more money to that account but it takes a few days to go through.

some thoughts...

1. Panda has said that the album will sound closer to the 2014 versions than the 2013 versions, yet these sound much more similar to the ATP set to me. Anyone else feel this way?

2. The production on these songs is INCREDIBLE. It's so... strange. Playful yet sinister.

3. Loving the video game vibe. unexpected yet welcome

4. The seemingly sudden renaming of the songs is throwin us through a loop.... maybe Mr Pete could provide a little more info here..?

This would be so amazing but I think Domino would have a few issues on their hands if people just ordered the 2LP and Mr Noah

to ppl having a trouble ordering.. i don't know if this is the case, but nearly every time i order from domino, my bank flags it because domino is based in the uk. maybe this is the issue, but i don't know.. just offering a guess from personal experience. usually if i use paypal eft it goes through. though, my order did go through, got the ep, and my bank still flagged it today..

victor.. i def feel like the vocals are mixed a little lower than i was expecting after the live stuff. but i love it so much.
