dad - i'm planning on recording tonight...i've got VIP balcony tix and i'm bringing my H4n w/my CA-14 externals & pre-amp as well as my H1 as a secondary back-up, just in case...

fantastic

the bass was definitely overwhelming but luckily (and this has happened every time we record at Music Hall) the bass sounds better on the recording than live haha

Blues Control killed it yesterday. I couldn't feel anything after the show thanks to how loud PB's set was, the strobe lights, and Danny Perez's forceful visuals; it was great. Round 2 tonight at Irving, thanks in advance for recording ya'll.

I was in the back and loving it, but I guess people in the front needed their stunna shades :c00l:
Thanks for the setlist, btw!

what do you mean?? those strobes were so sick.

i agree with your highlights, though i could add even more it was so good. im not as familiar with mr. noah as the other songs, so that track surprised me and was kick ass. was bummed there was no preakness after not having it at warsaw either, tho.

it's still amazing to me how huge the tomboy songs sound. surfer's hymn was so sick.

they were absolutely brutal from the balcony since they pointed up...could barely see the visuals/stage when they were going and everyone up there was looking down a lot of the time to prevent seizures

damn that sound nuts. i do remember feeling bad for the people against the stage at warsaw who had to look away from the stage due to being too close to the strobes on the ground :\

i missed the sick lasers from warsaw too.

well...they caught my main rig buried in the depths of my bag and made me check my bag with it still inside...even had a security guard escort me over to the bag check to make sure it happened...so I wasn't able to record it with my main rig...

...which only forced me to sneak my back-up recorder out of the bag during the process, hidden inside my long sleeve I grabed outta my bag before handing it over under watchful eye...

...so fear not, fellow animals...I managed to go full-on ninja style in order to record tonight's show... I'm riding the train back home right now and it doesn't sound all that bad...I'll try to post it ASAP...I think he busted out a new song tonight...but I could be wrong...so stay tuned!

Yeah he played a song I did not recognize. My recording came from the two pa speakers in the front middle facing the audience. Will EQ and upload on Thursday.

Update: my recording is so clear. Up there with that Mohawk boot. There's going to be a few minor snips on the transitions in a few songs becaue I was checking the battery power.

Update update: it's a tad clippy at certain points :( barely happens. Does anyone know what the song with reverse guitar riffs? I can't really give a setlist because I've been staying away from the boots.

No new songs. I assume y'all are either talking about This Side of Paradise or the new Preakness (both of which I hadn't heard live in person yet, both of which were sick).

The transitions were better tonight than last night but the strobes were way worse. I didn't write down the setlist but it was similar to Brooklyn's show but without Mr. Noah and instead Paradise. Preakness was the first song in the encore which was awesome and unexpected for me.

Surprised that we didn't get to hear Sequential Circuits

The way he sings "are you mad?" well into the intro of Tropic of Cancer and then morphs the vocal melody seamlessly from one song to the next is still giving me goosebumps the next day.

Also there's a gnarly scream in YCCOM in both NY shows that I don't remember hearing the Mohawk boot. Excited to hear those again.

Yeah that YCCOM scream was probably my favorite part of the whole show. I'll have our recording up by tonight, sorry for the delay since I'm usually pretty quick with them...didn't get a chance to work on it last night (fell behind in lesson planning :( )

Hey guys, Will here from bigasslens. Some of you might remember the Governor's Island show that we recorded years ago. We were at the Monday show in Brooklyn and managed to grab a couple videos, namely "Boys Latin" and "Sequential Circuits". The audio source is very good, and we spent a lot of time mixing it down to make it even better. Here is the page that has both videos: http://bit.ly/Y6I3mg

You can also listen to the audio mix, which due to technical...errr....difficulties, we only managed to get the first 30 minutes of. I've put it up on Soundcloud, feel free to download: https://soundcloud.com/bigasslens/panda ... -set-92214

Everyone is enjoyable.

This boot is so nice... this show had the full range, crazy and wild, tranquil and fluid. I was dancing hard with a mild headache, I think it puts the night in a proper context.

My friend and I waited outside to meet Noah, and every time I went up to say something, I got too close to Noah hugging another one of his friends goodbye and didn't get a word out, hah! The Blues Control crew said I'd get my chance eventually...

goddamn onebrain...that sounds tight as hell...unfortunately, my recording has more audience ambiance in the mix...i had some chatty balcony folks around me for most of the evening...i'll still try to post my recording in the next day or two but if yr' entire recording sounds that sweet, i won't even bother as i hang my head in jealous shame...
