Can we just take a second to talk about how amazing this album is?
I just finished playing it for the first time in a while, and I realize how amazing it is.
So tranquil.
And Doggy hits everyone right in the feels..

i think a reworked version of de soto de son with the current set-up would be the most mind-blowing thing in this world.

Easily one of their best albums. Probably in the top three for me. I guess I'm really attracted to its mellow nature of the album and it's ambiance. It's really different than all their other recordings, it's the most organic if you will. I mean, when I think of Animal Collective, this is generally what I would imagine, nature inspired tracks followed by acoustic guitars and soft words spoken. This album is heavenly !
10/10 for Pumpkin

I would say it's my number one AC album right now.
I never have a consistent favorite (Except for Spirit is my favorite album of all time)

I second that, being the album I'm listening to a lot lately. Generally at night too, wonder if they recorded that album during the day or night?

My appreciation for Queen in my pictures has vastly expanded lately.

For me it's just a "good" release and nothing special to me and i have to be in the right mood to listen to it. Basically just a nice chillout album with great melodies and vocalizations and that's it. In terms of Acoustic AC i prefer the Sung Tongs style and for their droney stuff i prefer when it's electronic oriented and punctured with blasts of noise.
But yeah it's my least favourite too.

Campfire songs is the album that feels the most like one thing to me.
Every single song flows so well.
Probably why it's not on vinyl.

Yep.
I think every AC release has been on vinyl except for Campfire Songs and Prospect Hummer.

It's not on vinyl (and probably never will be) because it is meant to be listened to as one continuous piece, as recorded, which would be impossible to achieve with vinyl.

CHz is the perfect AC album for vinyl.
All four sides are continuous, and no transitions are interrupted!

Absolutely love CS. Probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite AC album and I often find myself listening before I go to sleep, or whenever I'm laying in a park/outside.
I actually love experimenting with some open-minded friends by playing it for them while we lay outside in the right setting (i.e. Central park at night with fireflies everywhere). It's very very peaceful.

everyone always says its not on vinyl because its a continuous recording, but there is a second of silence between the third and fourth song so whoo caressssss

I think maybe it feels more "whole" to them because it was recorded in one take.
They sat there and played the whole thing, no interruptions.
