Browsing flickr, found a picture of David Bowie enjoying AC at Webster Hall in 2006.

Doesn't really look like Bowie's enjoying it.
Also I spy Aaron from Black Dice in the upper right.

Just finished the podcast. Really enjoyed it as it was just really nice to hear Avey talk for that long. I think he definitely sounds happy and like he's in a good place right now.

Really digging this interview. We now have definitive confirmation that Avey is not a Phish fan

That cover is really good imo. I like what was done with the vocals and percussive side of the song, but I'm not sure if it hits as hard emotionally as the original.

has anyone ever thought about bluish and the purple bottle together?? i know they are about the same person and there is some similar phrasing in bluish, almost as though referencing the purple bottle. also the whole colour thing. prob reachin.
another dumb association i made: is the mitch who was trying to tell some jokes mitch hedberg?

I never did make the association between Bluish and The Purple Bottle, but I'm definitely seeing it now
Even if not a conscious decision by Avey still an interesting thing to note about recurring themes (colors) in his songwriting

It has to be. Pretty sure the line is lifted from one of his albums, in response to a heckler "I'm just trying to tell some jokes."

^ nice man !
also apparently Mr. Tare was a skater in his days too so that ' s pretty cool ... did not know that ...
Animal Collective band member Dave Portner (aka Avey Tare) is familiar with music's relationship to skateboarding both as a skater and as a performer. "I skated up through high school. I definitely can recall a strong connection between skating and music, and I think it still exists today," he explains. "Whether it [was] just listening to jams to get psyched on skating -- I used to skate and listen to music like Pavement in my garage all the time -- or getting into certain songs through skaters and skate videos, the tie between them remains very strong."

I really wish i could experience the 2nd half of bros
He usually ends it with "i knoooooooooww" but i stumbled across a video of him performing the second half of it at the 2008 miami show and wow! I didn't know he was saying "don't look out for meee" until now
Does anyone know if hes done this at different shows?

Hey StrangeClams, I dunno where else to post this but I'll be honest, I didn't even consider new users at all when making my anumbal thread so I should give you credit for bringing that up even if I got mad at the thread you made. Sorry.

A classy post. For anybody concerned about why Hashman gets "privilege", it's because he's always civil.

LOL I saw that video
Probably someone here or the AC subreddit made it
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if pb liked anime, but the only anime I can see him liking is Akira. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he sampled the Tetsuo soundtrack on Comfy in Nautica and another track on Tomboy?

Deakin obviously. Why is that even a question?
Comfy in Nautica samples The Thin Red Line and not Akira.

Afterburner and Friendship Bracelet both sample the song from the opening of Akira I think
