It really has become one of my favorite tracks after not being too into it at all at first. It's so damn sassy and sexy!

I have a feeling that these songs are gonna be totally different animals in the studio. Sure, the live versions are pretty sweet, but being able to hear the pristine songs with all that ambiance that ends up being added is gonna be sweet. Imagine the bass on Principe Real and Garage. The vocals in Fill those Spaces and Vacuum... oh man....

Yeah, vacuum is going to be a beast after the studio treatment. Even with all the recordings floating around, I still feel like they don't do the song justice. Too much vacuum to be contained in a live bootleg.

actually panda told me he's gonna record the whole album live and from 200 yards away to really try to get the "outdoor atmosphere" in there

I was the same in that it took me a little while to latch on to but it was actually the changes from the ATP to Brooklyn versions that finally made me a fan. Something about those piano chords added a lot i think.

the piano chords make the song twice as good for sure.

As much as I miss the simplicity of the old Principe Real, I think the new one fits in wayy better and I cant wait to hear the studio version.

Didn't he claim to already have recorded two songs a while back? Did he have to redo them to add the major changes? Or were they perhaps the songs he already stopped playing live, so they haven't changed (at least as far as we know)

Do you know if anything ever became of Soft Serve Rip Curl (below)? He put out that instrumental along with the instrumental for Principe Real and I really like Soft Serve but he's not played a full version of this live yet...

Holy shit. In Soft Serve, there's a sample from the movie "Dancer in the Dark". It's Bjork saying "I'm so scared". that's my all time favorite movie! too cool.

I haven't been keeping up on this thread so I apologize if this question has already been asked/answered, but Panda didn't play the song people are calling "Heart and Soul" when I saw him live on the 22nd; has he reincorporated it into his set list at all? I sure hope we get to hear that song on the album...

He hasn't played it since, but I think that SB said it doesn't really affect it's chance of being on the album.

I listened to my first boot since ATP yesterday, just through laptop speakers, quietly, so it just gave me a flavour. Sounds promising. I'm committed to the minimal boots thing this time because I fucked MPP and I fucked Tomboy through over listening and it sounds like this is going to be pretty special so I want to experience the studio stuff first. It made Slasher Flicks quite a bit more exciting to discover it was actually really good and gave me a taste of the old feelings. I want more.
