I just got back from MEETING ANIMAL COLLECTIVE. You guys took some pictures of me with the band and texted it to me, but it looks like the picture didn't go through. If you by some miracle find this, please contact me!!!!

that would be me! it was nice meeting you! I never thought i'd meet a die hard AC fan (to the extent of my obsession) anywhere except on these forums. and sorry, her phone has been weird lately (sometimes only sends/receives texts in a wifi connection) we just got home and my girlfriend just re-sent the pictures of you with the band!

AMAZING SHOW!! I'm glad the three of us stuck it out together and got to meet them. haha I was so awkward and I knew that was going to happen. oh well it was worth it!

brothersport, purple bottle, what would i want sky, and many CHZ jams obviously. It was everything I could have hoped for

how does one go about meeting the band? i've never done that at any show before... like how long do you have to wait generally and where?

I actually have never met any bands that I like before yesterday (well, I shook steven ellison's [flying lotus] hand after a show, but i didnt really talk to him). Basically, since me and my girlfriend drove 3 hours to see them last night, we decided we might as well wait around and try to meet them. there was a tour bus on the side of the venue that we correctly assumed was anco's and decided we would wait over there for a bit to see if they walk out from the side door next to the van.

we actually ended up waiting a little over an hour and a half, and during that time the group of fans waiting outside went from like 15 to 3 by the time they came out. im honestly actually surprised more people werent waiting, but most people probably arent as obsessed as me ha. and panda was the first to come out and the three of were super awkward at first ha, we didnt know what to say even though we had been talking about a billion things we could ask or say to them . so we awkwardly approached noah and asked for some pictures. by that time the rest of the band came out. and we just talked for a few minutes, i didnt want to annoy them or anything. i asked when avey was planning on releases slasherflicks stuff and he said early next year!

yea brian said they usually take a long time before they come out to the van (not to avoid crowds or anything, but just to wind down i guess). overall, they were super nice guys! they actually walked right into a bar afterwords and we were thinking about asking them if we could buy them some drinks but we didnt want to be annoying.

were any of you involved, by chance, in the giant group hug initiated in the middle of the pit by a few of my friends and me at the end of the show? hehe
