Judging from what we've heard, I expect that the first Slasher Flicks release will be the best AC-related material since MPP. That project is, honestly speaking, more exciting than anything else right no (though I am curious to hear what Deakin and Noah have been cooking up) and I hope that it just gets better and better.

And like Tony, I'm hoping for a more organic-sounding album to surface (even if it isn't necessary released under the AC name).

i just want all the solo albums. wasn't that impressed by chz but the solo material seems great (including ATSF).

yeah, i want this. maybe a slightly more traditionally structured acoustic album, considering their past acoustic efforts have been rather experimental, and not hugely based on pop structure or anything. i think it'd be pretty incredible. i really loved that radio show performance.

Kinda hope that they don't release another acoustic album, two is enough for me.

I want to see a return of some more spaced out 8 minute+ jams.

Exactly, same kind of structure but with a new sound.

You honestly can be so sure and think that it's going to be better than Tomboy, Centipede Hz, TTG, Oddsac, Fall Be Kind, Down There and the two upcoming solo albums? May I ask how, and where can I find such magical powers?

It doesn't have to be better than the two other solo albums because it'd probably come first. Slasherflicks will be the best release since MPP and Panda's new album will be the best since Slasherflicks.

Being that I don't care much at all for any of the records you mentioned (with the exceptions of Down There and ODDSAC), I am unusually confident in my prediction.

Slasher Flicks is a step in the right direction. I sort of hope they carry over into AC and they will be a 6 person band for the next LP. Keep the Slasher Flicks lineup the way it is and add Panda on guitar/vox, Deakin on bass/vox, and Geo on samples/synths. Can you imagine!!!!

Oh, and I reeeeeeeally miss Avey and Panda singing together. Like...A LOT

That sounds like a good idea but i think it'd probably turn out too chaotic, too many people throwing their ideas into songs.

One day this will happen, whatever it takes, even a massive petition to get it's way to Avey to get them to play it.

I don't mind their pop flavored stuff. But CHz could have benefited from spacing out a bit.

hoping for a hip hop feature on the new album, think it would be a nice change and would give them some fresh inspiration for production.

and some longer spacey ambient tracks like wastered would be pretty cool

An album of 'Safer' style songs would be perfect for me. Maybe with the odd 'What Would I Want Sky thrown' in. In fact, those two songs repeated 5 times each would do it.

Yeah I think that's their best music honestly. Their ambient, mellow side, their "We're totally not improv" but we still kinda are in a way. An ambient album, like combine the forces of Spirit and Campfire Songs. Stick with me here. We have the lovely, sweet, yet somehow bitter psychedelia charms that is Spirit, ever so carefully mixed together with the graciously soft and kind sounds that is Campfire Songs. BOOOM next AC album ! It's gonna happen, probably not, but I can dream :eng101:

when I listened to ODDSAC yesterday i suddenly realized at parts (Mr.Fingers/Kindle Song/Working/Screens) it is the best thing they've ever done. the production(!), the incredible way of using sounds, the repetetive songstructures and use of voices completely mesmerized me(again). toghether again, with its amazing production. I think they will make their best record yet if they would progress in that way(with the intention of making an album without the mindset of making a soundtrack to a video ofc.)

i'd like to see them mess around with a different style of production altogether, ideally without ben allen on board. love the work he's done for these guys but honestly I want the next thing to be mixed delicately... less chaos, more silence. something along the lines of nigel godrich's recent work. I mean king of limbs wasn't the most stimulating record but the production was masterful.

this is kind of off-base from what I'm getting at here but my dream animal collective producer is yasutaka nakata. dude is a beast.

also i guess this is my first post so hi

Avey becomes a model.
Panda becomes the janitor.
Brian becomes a flight attendant on Southwest airline.
Deakin goes to live out the hippie dream and lives on a commune in California.
