I'm excited they're doing something to celebrate the anniversary! And a Geologist set sounds cool! I wonder who all will be part of the cast & crew interviews.

do you think it will just be a dvd rip they're playing or does a better quality version exist ??

I have to imagine this is going to be the best quality they can stream in. Gah, cannot wait

I'll be asleep during this so, like, what do I do? Can someone record?

If you get tickets it's either live or on demand, the 48 hour access starts whenever you hit play. So if you miss it you have plenty of time to enjoy it. That being said, I'm definitely thinking of ways I can record it.

I've got the audio portion down. I need to figure out how to capture an uncompressed .ts from a stream using ffmpeg. I've heard other's have success with JDowloader2 but I couldn't figure out how to capture something live.
And the tickets are for an "HD webcast" so I bet the DJ sets/preshow will be HD. Based on Perez saying they've considered a blu ray release, I'm willing to bet the master is HD (especially considering the majority of it was shot on 16mm...I believe). I doubt they'd have the funds to rescan and remaster at 4K, but a blu ray release is in the cards. All things considered, it's likely the film will have it's public (non-festival/screening) HD debut on Halloween!
I really wonder if Perez will remix elements of the film into their respective DJ sets....Either way, it's gonna be one hell of a way to spend Halloween. Looking forward to it!

Literally the only thing I realistically want from Oddsac is a Blu Ray release. Hopefully this is an HD presentation and we'll be able to see it properly for the first time.
Two weeks today!

The Working/Tantrum Barb section in particular would benefit from enhanced audio/video imo

Defo, as well as Urban Creme. One of my favourite sections but impossible not to be distracted by the low resolution and artifacting.

i could have sword they've always said it was scanned in SD and that's why there hadn't been any hd release once digital streaming for movies became a thing. it would be amazing if this was an hd premiere, but i wont get my hopes up.

I don't want to speak out of school but Geologist got his first hurdy gurdy and lesson from the guy who plays hurdy gurdy on the VVitch soundtrack
And yeah looking forward to it big time

and don't anybody say anything about "it should be experienced with the visuals", i do not care, give me the songs

I've pre-ordered and haven't started it. I won't start it until I know if you can get it after it's over. Either way I still intend to archive the welcome set and DJ sets

Only got to see Geo's hurdy gurdy set but it was amazing, especially with the visuals. Felt like he was broadcasting from hell. Gotta check out the rest tomorrow.

This was amazing. Great DJ sets and visuals from all the boys
I feel like Oddsac looked like about the same quality as the dvd, I was kind of hoping for an hd stream. But it was still a fun night with all the other sets and the bts/interviews/q&a

This sounds great, shame I was in bed. Can't seem to access the link now, mind you. I can see it on the front page but I click and it takes me to upcoming shows, not the AC show. Maybe it'll update later.

Whole thing is replayable for the 48 hrs if u go to home screen of nugs. After that hopefully everything but actual movie gets uploaded to the Tube? At least dj sets. Maybe the dvd commentary shit with Perez will be locked away for another 10 years.
Danny was kinda funny. We have new lore for the production too, like deakin risking his life for fried vamp and the lady who got slimed wanting us to wear our masks now

Those dj sets made for an incredible audio/visual experience themselves imo. I hope they’ll be available to watch somewhere once the 48 hours are up. Avey’s was a lot of fun in particular, sweet dance moves

It's available for 48 hours after you press play, correct? Anyone know how long the entire thing is? I haven't watched it yet but have it ready to go. I just wanted to ensure I had enough time to view it in it's entirety if I was to do the following:
My thought/not super tech-saavy mom way of recording this would be to play this on zoom with someone, screen share, and rec the meeting... then send it to one of you more tech-saavy dads to do whatever magic needs to be done to save and upload it properly.

whole thing clocks in around 3 hrs
i dont have soundflower anymore but ideally you'd download soundflower and use quicktime to screen record while you play the whole thing playing fullscreen on ur comp. quicktime has some high quality screen recording its just the sound that's the tough part.

Thanks AxeWorld, I was hoping someone would know how to do this better than my shit method. Shouldn't have doubted this fanbase, especially you haha. Also, thanks kinetic, I was able to figure out how to work quicktime and soundflower which might come in handy for me in the future, it was pretty simple to figure out -- appreciate your suggestion. And finally, thanks to hunkswithguns for coming in clutch with a gift in my pm's. Love this forum.
I'm finally viewing it now without the pressure of screen recording. Wish I was able to live on Halloween, but while I work will have to do for now.
