Boss: That's inappropriate for work...
Me: Well, technically, there's no visible penis or full ass
Boss: Right! It's definitely alright then! Great work!

I posted this to the Pullhair Rubeye thread, but according to snippets from The Vinyl Factory promo article, this record features music written for piano and voice between 2005 and 2017, which she calls “a very personal affair, something I did for emotional and spiritual survival.”

It does seem to be a pretty emotionally filled record, especially the song Heartly Matters. I can't help but think that was one of those songs she wrote back then.

My efforts of deciphering the lyrics:
Spoiler: show
He waited until the morning after
He waited with his heartly matters
And all that he said, so silent
And all that he felt, kept inside
And now ghostly voices inside him sing

Oh when two become one
It's half when one's gone
And I do love the she sounded
And I do love the we sounded
I do miss it some, I do miss it some

She waited til the morning after
She waited with her heartly matters
And then wishfully, she closed her eyes
And then wishfully, I can open them

From no one beside her
And voices inside her said

Oh when two become one
It's half when one's gone
And I do love the he sounded
And I do love the we sounded
I do miss it some, I do miss it some

thank you for posting! i didn't know she had a new release, i'm excited to listen. I've always enjoyed her music. Uterus water is great too. I loved when she opened for A.C., probably about ten years ago. I was tripping at the show and I was really annoyed at some Merriweather bros talking during her set. I remember catching her eye and felt connected to her, and was delighted when she shot an arrow into the audience... really happened, lol, must've been a soft type of arrow.

I am so enamored by the way she describes things.

was she married to anyone besides Avey or is this about him?

Unless she married a guy who also liked those movies, They talked about Inland Empire being an inspiration when they made Pullhair reversed.

The album is based on the live set Avey Tare & Kría Brekkan played during their shows in 2006 in the US and Iceland, but was released with the songs played backwards, as well as sped up at certain points. According to Portner, the couple took this decision at 21 December 2006 as a result of "a combination of being stuck in NYC for Christmas and seeing that new David Lynch movie", meaning Inland Empire
