his vocals on Beltway are gorgeous. So AC gets a songwriting credit on Lemonade and now Panda is on 4 Solange songs?????

I’m here for it

they are developing a reputation for doing things just a little too late aren't they?

even after reading the track credits, its nearly impossible for me to tell what his actual contributions are... even on the track where he's the lone male voice, i still couldn't tell. cool to see him branch out, i dig it. great album though, i think she makes more interesting music than her sister.

PBur throat open at the veeeeery end of 'Beltway' is very clear to me and I can now actually confirm I hear it doubly clear

Sounds like the whole thing is a waste of time for Solange to geg in on some indie cred

Out of interest, did you listen to it in isolation or as part of the album?

Just that track. I quite liked Solange's first EP a few years ago but I'm generally not into that kind of thing. I'll give it a whirl on a drive.

great album imo. brings me immense happiness to see Blonde's impressionist style resurfacing in new albums. you gotta listen start to finish though, you're gonna miss out on things like the transition between Can I Hold The Mic and Stay Flo...u don't want that

Yee this album is awesome and very much like blonde in that it has no center, it is v empty in a trippy Buddhist way

She uses repetition of melody to extremely pleasurable efffect just like panda. After about four listens I can say that this album is top tier tunes and prob as good as buoys

i definitely am loving this album too. so many great tunes, and it's such a pleasing easter egg every time i hear panda's voice in the background haha. but for others itt who are enjoying this, and comparing it to blonde, i really liked blood orange's album last year and find that to be a closer relative to when i get home than blonde.

It's boring to me but fair play to her for attempting something mildly creative

you can be bored by it but the rest of this is shitty and dismissive in a way that doesn’t serve the board very well i think. you don’t gotta comment on stuff that’s not the band

[s]According to wikipedia only song he's a part of is Binz? What's the source?[/s]

Anyway, 9th Wonder posted about this album on IG, called it her ATLiens. Super interested in checking this out, and it's cool that 9th knows who Panda Bear is now. Kinda full circle since he was the first influence mentioned for PBMTGR

on beltway you can hear him aiding in the "oh ho ho" at 0:42 and again in the final few seconds of the song. on time (is) he's there at 1:32. he's credited with vocals on the closing track, too, but i'm with you and can't hear that one.

for 'I'm a Witness' he comes in on the "tiiiime" at :40 and in the background belts out "liiiight" at the tail end for the last few "takin' on the light" chants

What an amazing analysis! Perfectly nailed the aesthetics on both albums.

High points for me have got to be Jerrod > Binz and the Nothing Without Intention interlude but the whole thing rules

No it wasn't! Something about those albums having no center put the sonics into a nice perspective that makes it easier to wrap my head around.
