I think of this song as along the same lines as Applesauce in the sense that they're almost through-composed and each have 4-5 parts that could be considered a chorus.

Sounds pretty tight to me I guess I was never that big on The Preakness to begin with though.

Only just found out that the preakness is a horse racing track around where they lived in baltimore. Explains the lyric in Purple Bottle as well.

the reason we are heartbroken is Sonic Boom told DAD he was working with PB on a studio take of the New Preakness but we haven't heard any word about it for a long time

Oh I see! I thought you guys were saying you weren't diggin' the new version of it or something. Yeah, thats definitely understandable then. I'd love to hear a studio version of that.

and they're off, and Big Big Big Heartbeat has taken the lead, followed by Sweetest Thing, followed by Coat of Feelings, followed by Chinese Ballet, followed by You Smell Like Fruity Nuts..

Panda was crazy for not taking Bonfire to the studio. So many songwriters would kill to write a melody like that.
Who knows, maybe he just didn't have time?

I feel like a studio version of bonfire is kind of unnecessary at this point cause of that bbc one. Like yeah I guess it'd be cool but it will never happen so lets just be happy we got the bbc one.
Also alsatian darn is probably my fav on tomboy. The claps that come in are so epic and I love how the rhythm sort of shifts about around that bass drum and makes the accents sound like they are changing the whole time.

What is this Visionaire #53 you speak of? I thought I had heard all of Panda's stuff? maybe its one of my untitled rarities songs?
