Wasn't an AC fan when Oddsac first came out so I really hope this happens again in the midwest. Danny replied to a comment mentioning how the 10 year anniversary is coming up, fingers crossed

Yeah so true. I've only ever seen Urban Creme in DVD quality and it looks all jpeg'd as fuck

unfortunately i think it was mastered in SD. i don't even think any exhibition formats exist in higher resolution than DVD, or at least that's what I'd heard before. would be interesting to find out the exhibition format of the SF screening.

Hmmm not sure about this. Simply because when I saw it in a theater, Urban Creme looked sooooo much better than on the dvd.

im trying to remember when/where i asked about this. i had put off watching it for a while with hopes a blu-ray would be issued and i could watch in HD, but somewhere I was told it was very unlikely due to the mastering. don't have any evidence to share, though, so maybe I'm misremembering.

possible the original screenings were on some sort of SD tape format that wouldn't have DVD compression? no idea I guess though.

Just got home from the Oddsac screening! So good to see it on the big screen again

During the Q&A afterwards (in which the host and Danny P talked shit about Zappa), it was revealed that DP will be doing all new visuals for the BOUY Tour. He also mentioned that the new PB songs are awesome, and like Homies "but dirtier and beat up".

fuuck yes. i really hope they have a proper release this time. i occasionally go back and watch this LA show from 2015 mainly because the visuals are so good. just look at the transition between Tropic of Cancer and Mr Noah. i think Eric Copeland was at the control station on this night. but part 2 has my favorite visuals overall..

i think something great would be lost if some sort of dvd/bluray/online release with some of the PBVSGR tour's live footage + live audio wasn't released in the future. the way that it was done didn't quite quench that itch for me.
