I've been following AC on this tour with someone starting with the Virginia show and ending after the Connecticut show. We got to meet Panda and Avey twice now.

After the 9:30 Club show I asked Panda about new music and he said he has around 25 minutes of new music being worked on and also that he plans to tour solo around January.

I also got to ask Avey and Panda if they would ever play Oddsac live and they basically said if it felt right they would. I specifically mentioned Mr. Fingers being fucking awesome to Panda and he mentioned that Aveybplays a synthesizer on it or something so it shouldn't be that hard to play live.

Anyway this AC tour has been pretty sweet so far.

One more thing I remembered I asked Avey if they would release From the Beach and he said not to rule it out but they don't plan to.

If they play anything ODDSAC related it will probably be years down the road for some farewell tour in all honesty.

That interview could probably use an editor

Psyched for the new jams. I remember he said a while ago that Grim Reaper felt like the conclusion of a trilogy with PP/Tomboy/pbvsgr, and this new material definitely sounds like it'll have a different sound, more stripped back. I would be so happy if it was house beats like some of the Swallow at Hollow stuff (tho that was recorded years ago by now)

Great news. Bang it out, get it done, write record release. No further comment lest I make a twat of myself but great news. I'm even happy with the five songs approach. I think the infinite gestation period does not suit the guy. Pick your best, no second guessing. Let's fuckin do this lads.

Is it just me or did that interview make it sound like panda produced/recorded it all by himself?

If he hasn't talked to Domino about this release yet, I'm guessing we probably won't get to hear anything until next year. I'm thinking about how Grim Reaper had such a huge rollout so Domino might want to plan something similar for this album. On the other hand I kinda get the impression Panda wants this release to be a bit more low key, so maybe it'll be out sooner rather than later

Either way, super hyped, plus we've got a new Avey album to keep us preoccupied in the meantime
