If I may follow up on my comment and butt into this 'jerk, I have nothing against legalizing gay marriage and I don't really care about Pussy Riot, but lately these have appeared to me as memes instead of legitimate causes. Half-assed tweets and videos where you say one sentence don't do much in the long run.
And while these issues aren't too terribly controversial, I fear they will start supporting more "movements" and begin dividing their fanbase.
One day it's Pussy Riot and gay marriage, the next day it's "check your white privilege" and "fight the patriarchy".

I don't see why they'd lose fans if they start supporting movements. I'd still listen to AC regardless of their political views.

ugh, not the human rights campaign... they are transphobic, politically-motivated, and a shining example of what's wrong with "mainstream gay"

i'm sure the band, like most supporters of the HRC, are unaware of this, which is part of why the HRC sucks so much (they are basically the sole representative of "LGBT interests" in the US (despite not actually representing the T part))
