Looks like these two bands are playing together on 7/29 at MPP and 7/31 at the Mann. Pretty interesting combo, especially if AC is still going to be playing PW songs

So it looks like there are two presales. One on Wednesday that's a Spotify presale and another on Thursday. Id love to know what the Spotify code is. That's my birfday and would love a crack at some good seats. Very excited for this.

Seen AC at the Merriweather before, def going to this show. There's a standing pit at the front, a big seated area, and a big-ass lawn behind there. Highly recommend the lawn

Was wondering the same thing. I have a feeling that AC will be the openers, just because Fleet Foxes have a larger fan base, and also judging by the way the promo posters are worded for the shows.

It's possible they switch off headling i.e. AC plays last at MPP and first at the Mann.

When I saw Flaming Lips co-headline with Weezer they alternated back and forth with each band playing 3-4 songs, and they even swapped frontmen for a few of them

Maybe they'll do something like that, but from the posters it seems like Fleet Foxes are headlining which is really strange to me since they don't have nearly as much material and they've been inactive for so long

could you imagine them covering "white winter hymnal?" there would be some sort of trance-like throbbing going on courtesy of geo, and panda would be spiralling through the lyrics as avey yelped and screamed in the appropriate spaces... sometimes joining in on the harmony like in "also frightened"

i could see fleet foxes doing a cool cover of "brothersport" or "my girls" ... i know robin was a huge fan of MPP.

The Facebook post says these are "special shows" so I'm sort of hoping for an acoustic or more low key set, maybe with Deak.

I wouldn't get my hopes up about that. Just an observation, they usually announce their special sets. Like in Miami a few weeks ago or the Guggenheim show. I think they are special because these shows aren't part of a standard "world tour" for FF and well anytime your guest opener is AC it's pretty special. Remember lots of people had big ideas about the big sur campout shows and they played pretty similar set lists both nights. Not that this is a bad thing I just think the band tends to give a pretty clear heads up that a show will deviate from what they are touring at that specific time.

Now that I'm done being a buzzkill I hope Fleet Foxes has Dave come out on electric guitar and they do some Dead covers.

Cool, good to know. Robin Pecknold posted this on his instagram when asked who was playing first: "I think we play after AC but fairly similar set lengths / production?" So that's another bit of info.

Anyone manage to get tickets to the front center standing area? I was up there last time AC played MPP and it was magical. Surprised so many people are recommending the lawn over that spot.

It was just a normal show, consistent with their recent set lists, but also pretty short because they were opening. Still a great performance though.. Fleets were good too but went way too long for my tastes.

They started at about 7:35 and ended no later than 8:25.Iit was super short and I have to admit I was bummed- I thought it was going to be a double bill more than a opener/ main act set up. I felt like it was over before it began almost. I think I was expecting a super magical performance from them because of the venue and the team up with FF but it felt so rushed; I think I liked the intimate club shows better. Avey and Geo came up to the soundboard to watch the Foxes and they looked so happy, though. Got to say a quick hi to Avey on the way out- just thank him for the tour and congratulate him on Eucalyptus. He is such a nice, humble guy.
So, overall... good show but not my favorite. No big surprises in the lineup (Not in order: Burglars, Taste, Bees, On Delay, Summing, Guys Eyes, Summertime)With as long as the Fleet Foxes played for (close to two hours) you'd think they could have split the time up a little more. But I have to say, that crowd was so into Robin Pecknold, he could have sneezed and gotten a eardrum bursting standing ovation. He was adored! Well deserved- he sounded fantastic and the band was tight, and people have been waiting a long time for their comeback.
Sad to see this round of shows come to an end. Such fun at all the shows.
