Collected Animals

I was recently looking through YouTube to find some Avey tare's slasher flicks songs and found that blind babe and strange Colores are no longer available in my country and I live in the United States is anybody else having this problem? These weren't the music videos these were the videos where there's a small video playing in the middle of the picture. After finding they were unavailable on the Animal Collective official Channel I tried watching a re-upload and it was also not available in the US. Is my phone being crazy or is somebody else in the US having this problem?

The audio was muted but I filed a fair use dispute and it's available temporarily. I don't believe I've received any notification for hosting strawberry jam on youtube, which has been around for 4 years now without trouble:

I really dunno why this started. It's not limited to slasher flicks

I would like to report that my dispute of the audio's usage was successful. Perhaps because it was contained within a longer 'art project' / unrelated media piece and not titled / promoted as a link to Animal Collective music, but I didn't say anything like that in my claim.

"Good news! After reviewing your dispute, [Merlin] Domino Recording Co has decided to release their copyright claim on your YouTube video."

However, that still leaves WMG - On behalf of: My Animal Home and WMG - On behalf of: ADA Global. They haven't responded to it yet. Depending on how this goes, it may allow some of the AC music on youtube to remain around.

There's been lots of talks I've heard about AC trying to buy back the rights to their music fully or something like that. It wouldn't surprise me if this stuff is related

i mean id be bummed if i didnt own all of it lol.. man those few months of prince on youtube were cool. heard a bunch of shit ill probably never get to hear again..

well id be down for them to have all their rights back.

But combing through everyone's videos and deleting them cause theyre not yours is weird and seems tedious. is it all about ad money or something? I always feel that the more exposure you have the better. but i dont claim to know the ins and outs of the BIZ.
