Animal Collective will play at Union Transfer (Philadelphia) on Monday, October 28 along with Dan Deacon.

Tickets go on sale Friday, July 26 at noon.

Yeah, I saw the AC/DD show last month at the 930 Club and I think having Dan open made the AC show a lot better. People were already hyped up and then were just going nuts when the band finally walked on and they just fed off that energy.

I'm thinking about going to this, I'll have to wait and see if the band schedules any more east coast dates.

sticking with the 27th for now, since i already bought those tickets, and will likely try to pick up an extra ticket for the 28th eventually. extras always seem to surface.

did anyone ever post this, from 2007, on the older boards? i found it in r5's email about adding a second show at union transfer in philly. it's mostly about the venue and promoter, but funny that animal collective was 'involved'.

i'd sooner trust a CA-er asking retail. i'm going the night before, and really i've seen them enough in the past year. i was looking for a scenario where someone needs help losing their ticket and i wouldn't mind helping out. haha.. in this scenario, i'm a hero! if it gets to be the night before and someone needs to get rid of a ticket, it's likely i can buy it on a whim. philly is close enough that i can make a last minute invitation happen. [and if it is the night before i'll be in philly, so we can meet up then rather than trying to make a transaction day-of.] did any of that make sense?

I am pumped for this show on the 28th. i live in illinois but had to work when they plyed in chicago and milwaukee so im using my frequent flier miles to fly to this one solo. my fourth ac show and first since 2009. i bought my ticket on stubhub wth the instant download option. im a little nervous about theticket, as it would be shitty to travel 12 hours to be turned away. has anyone had amy problems with a stubhub instant download ticket?my research on the matter seems contradictory

thank for the info, im hoping for the best. if they play the exact set they played in chicago ill be ecstatic. ac may be my favorite band but im even more excited for deacon. ive never seen him but ive been pining for years. america was the shiz and judging from live footage and word of mouth,his show is thigh slappin good time
