What are some things you hope to see released or surfaced from the band at some point? Could be a new direction, another live record from this era or any old one, a long unrecorded song or anything really

My personal ones

-A recorded version of Laughed for a World Filled with Fantasty
-a Geo solo album
-an Avey/Panda duo album

you've presumably already heard a recorded version of laughed for a world filled with fantasy, unless if you only heard it live. I think panda said he wasn't going to record it in a studio because it felt like he was just singing over someone else's song.

also, sung tongs is an avey/panda duo album, wouldn't mind seeing another like it tho

i kinda want the band to get back into more acoustic instrumentation, like those versions of the CHZ songs they did

Avey mentioned something about having a recording of a rehearsal from the Down There tour that he might master and release someday, I really hope that happens

Also would love either an HQ live recording or studio version of the untitled suite they played at Glasslands, but that seems a lot less likely

Edit: more Terrestrial Tones/other collaborations with Black Dice would be sweeeet

I just really hope there are a couple long tracks left in them. I love Painting With but I don't think I want another album in this vein of super condensed instrumentation and songwriting

Is the ZDB version of Laughed the one you're referring to? I was under the impression it was the only unofficially recorded song from the Person Pitch time. Also, should've specified- ANOTHER Avey/bear album

i want the next AC thing to be something like 4 avey songs, 4 panda songs and 4 deakin songs... like PW style except + Deakin. So lots of harmonizing and stuff but in a totally different way than theydo on PW, or MPP or ST, if that's possible. almost something like a straight beatles record maybe idk.

I hate that all their individual contributions on recent albums have become so distinct and clear cut

This is kind of small thing, but how about an EP+Rarities compilation sorta like the MBV one?
Just gather all the EPs and add some tracks like From A Beach and Covered In Frogs.
And just a personal wish, all of their albums reissued on cassette
And I do like the idea of different line ups for the next album.

I'd like to see an Avey, Geo and Deak album, because Panda's only in it for the money.

Yeah. I mentioned before on here that I could see him dropping the Panda Bear moniker for a club trax record. Would be sick.

I also mentioned here before that I think they could get a lot looser with their line ups, releases, and maybe even monikers over the coming years. Like, Geo and Deakin teaming up for an EP calling themselves Arse Death or something.

and Transverse Temporal Gyrus, yeah I think ODDSAC and TTG really stand out among their material from the past decade (they started working on ODDSAC ten years ago guys, holy crap). I'd be really keen for them to do some more "side projects" like that and for those projects to get more recognition.

Sucks how few reviews those two got.

the musical aesthetic of painting with, but instead of short, tight "pop" bangers something very drawn out instrumentally, ambient......fuck it, wash it in reverb and delay, I honestly love the effects. some synth-d out version of a tune like visiting friends. meandering harmonies to get utterly lost in.

I doubt they wont go back to that at some point. Hell, they are doing it now with the live shows.
I also don't think we will see this approach to songwriting again, so I think you're good dude.

Honestly, a collaboration album with Boards of Canada would be my dream come true.

Honestly don't know why there hasn't been one yet. Maybe there isnt enough footage of them in the early years. All i can think of is that of montreal doc that's so good; i came out of it wishing there was an animal collective one
