"I'm not contrarian but..."

I'm sure it been done before but whatever, we're doing it again: unpopular opinions.
Feel free to rank how edgy people are being for saying something like "banshee beat is actually the worst song on feels" or "HCTI was the last great ac album"
Anyway, cynicism aside, have fun.

Golden Gal is my least favourite on PW

lol imagine if someone still posted here but hadn't seriously enjoyed an album since HCTI

ummmm

I think, at least musically, ODDSAC is one of the best AC releases. Like top 4 maybe.

Person Pitch is the only Panda Bear album that's even close to being as good as Down There.

Spirit was Avey's first solo album

FBK (especially after its midpoint) represents the start of the (worse to me) C Hz era rather than the end of MPP

It's Dave's band. Not contrarian but unpopular.

Unpopular among the entry level shitheels this band appeals to.

Yeah this is true. That's why Noah's solo stuff is (IMO) much better and feels more important, since he won't get most of that stuff out any other way

I think Ben Allen's production added a lot to MPP. It sounds crowded and compressed but I kinda like it that way. I love the 07 performances too, but when I think of those songs I think of the hard-hitting, bass-heavy versions on the album

Yeah, I'll have that. The worst thing they've ever done, purely because of that loop. Sounds like something I did on the Nintendo DS Korg synth in three minutes, passing the time while I'm having a fairly brisk shite.

Ahhh Good Country is by far the worst song on Danse.
Centipede Hz and Painting With are both far better than Sung Tongs.
Feels is their magnum opus, not Merriweather.
#1 is the worst song from Strawberry Jam.

I agree with these.

I really don't agree. But I do prefer Chores over Daily Routine so much more.

Father Time is the best song on CHz

Also I don't see any album as a "peak" of the band, they change their sound so much album-to-album that it's difficult to say what their objective "best work" is.

"Wow" I really "throw around" the "quotes" in this "argumentative point"

pullhair rubeye is the best side AC release

the only good songs from the Tomboy era aren't even on the album (the preakness & atiba song)

transverse temporal gyrus is mad underrated

people is their prettiest EP

ODDSAC IS THE SUCCESSOR TO MPP

PBVSGR is a filler album full of maybe 4 good songs. If you replaced these filler songs with the songs from the EPs it rises in quality by a whole bunch.

Painting With is good but I would probably rate it lower than all the others, above Danse.

Down There is the best solo album of the group.

Deakin's new album is good but it's not the perfect entity people say it is. Sometime the mix is too cluttered and Deakin's voice isn't good sometimes

The short, Ramones-esque songwriting on Painting With holds it back in a big way.
