"My show is actually a version of a mix I made for Ben Allen (Centipede Hz Producer) before we went into the studio. He asked us for a list of songs that we might reference in terms of sound and vibe so he could understand how we wanted the album to sound. We put together a list of songs that either encompassed the overall sound and vibe, or just had specific things we liked, such as drums sounds, or vocal effects. Rather than just send him each song, I thought it'd be fun to make transitions in between each track and sequence it out into 4 separate continuous hypothetical LP sides, which is what we were thinking for the sequencing of our album. For the final show of AC Radio we thought it'd be cool to play this inspirational mix and the album back to back." - Geologist

Bummer it's only the first 20 minutes. Cuts out right when the summertime clothes remix starts, so I don't think it even reaches that Avey tare demo.

Any ideas as to what time these sets will start. Would like to make the Oct. one in Brooklyn. May have to work and catch the train right after.

Could Maya be referring to From a Beach? I remember Geologist identified it as that for the radio session way back then retracted the statement

Woo! I feel like I will have a hard time referring to it as "Maya" after 7 years haha. According to the tracklist, the beat that it mixed with is isolee - beau mot plage. Glad we can finally listen more than 20 minutes Can someone rip this?

ya that's insane. it sounds great great. it's not quite the vision they were goin for on bbc but if yr gonna bring it bak it makes sense that it'd be an update.... i love the chorus vox/sounds... funny that they never felt right abt it when they played it... maybe avey's satisfied with this version

Finally, Animal Collective has released a trance track.

Absolutely wonderful. While I already loved the Isolee track, I really hope it means this will finally make an appearance. It's one of the most special songs of that era, a perfect blend of busy SJ vocal melodies and MPP vibes.

almost seems like one of my fave avey vox performances. they were great on the bbc but this is different, great feeling to it and world of a song.... i want a sequel to DT ><
