I'll be there! I can't say a whole lot to recommend because I honestly despise downtown Nashville. It's all country bars and what not. If you took every Southern stereotype and stuck them in a 3 by 3 block square, that's what downtown Nashville is. It's the Time's Square of the South. However, If you have the chance you should go to Printer's Alley. It's pretty close to downtown. Five Points and The Gulch are the more hipster spots if you want to check those out. If you're staying near the airport, there's this really chill deli/live venue called Phat Bites you should check out. They have fantastic food, and the atmosphere is great.

Oh, and maybe check out The Frist. It's our local art museum. There's also Opry Mills which used to be a theme park, and now it's just a hotel and a huge mall. You can burn a few hours walking around in there. They have a Lego store if you're into that kind of thing.

My friend went to this show and described the crowd as "wet blankets", she said the band sounded great though.

I was at this. It depended on where you were standing but yeah their were a lot of stiff bodies.
I was left front and trying to dance a lot but ppl around me weren't making that easy. There were some people jumping around and dancing, but as a whole their were more ppl just standing.
I was asking myself, "Is it like not acceptable at shows anymore to dance wildly?"

The sound up front got a little congested and too much mixed together at certain times but when I went to the back it sounded really good.

The ATL show was just as stiff. I guess certain crowds really don't move around anymore. I moved towards the back to carve out more space to move around when the first song began and it was apparent everyone was too cool to dance.

Spoiler: show
Daily Routine - unexpected and nice extended meditation at the end
Alvin Rowe - even though it was just the last section it was still really good, i'll take what I can get
Bees - very peaceful, took me out there
The Burglars - solid
Spilling Guts - extended the end out into an awesome dance jam
Loch Raven - really cool techno additions
