So, this dude who is a huge AC fan and also throws parties for the electronic scene in Portland got the boys to agree to do a DJ set right after the show tomorrow. It's at a warehouse by the river (address is a secret) and there's only gonna be 100 people there! This sounds fake but it isn't. There was a rumor the location was Ground Kontrol and I've been calling trying to get them to give me the deets but I guess that was just a rumor and they're all like, "uhh, no for real, that's actually not happening here. I'm not just trying to throw you off." LOL.

Yes, I heard through the grape vine there was a secret DJ set that was gonna happen! It is good to hear that the rumor floated to someone else, it makes me feel like it must really be happening. Let me know if you figure out anything more about this, I'd really love to go to this after the show!

If this is happening, I NEED to know about it.
Seriously - my best friend is coming down from Seattle and we're going to be rolling for the night.
So, an AC DJ Set to wrap up the night!??! That would be TOO good to be true!

Yup! It was so fucking cool, I've had dreams like that before and I had to keep reminding myself it was real. There was about 100 folks there, it was a tiny little room with some trippy projections on the wall and then Aninal Collective chillin in the corner putting on a dance party. I've met the dudes a few times (including the night before in Seattle) and i think my hat made me pretty noticeable but there were several points in the night where I would look up and notice that they were watching us as much as we were watching them. There was one specific moment when me and my two friends were just group hugging and laughing on the dance floor and Avey Tare was just smiling so big at us. It was bizarre but really special and they seemed to be stoked about being there for their fans. They're such good dudes, let's keep em.

Yeah, it was billed as Avey and Geo- Pandy is a self described "old man these days" and it was probably past his bed time. Jeremy was there though-- and he was a hilariously bad dancer but it was adorable and charming. Kinda crazy that the man is such a talented drummer but has no rhythm when is comes to dancing.
