I'm not big on what the band doesn't want us to hear, so the single is enough to quench my album thirst.
And don't give me the "the dudes prob want everyone to hear it all now!" because a) I know you're probably right and b) I don't care

Haven't listened to the bathroom FLACs (lol) nor the Amazon samples, but as soon as that bird is free I'm all over it. Till then, it's Floridada all the way.

I've worn out the samples. I must have listened over 500 times. And the bathroom flacs are just too low qual to really enjoy but they're cool. I don't know how most of you have the will power to resist. Listening to the samples hasn't done anything for me to spoil the album I'm still googling anco all day everyday for more news and that freebird freebird IT DEAK. plus I know that the vision of the album I've constructed through the samples will crumble and rebuild itself into something entirely different when I hear it as a whole all the way through. So it's like two albums!! Listen to the samples!!

The biggest challenge (for me, at least) will be to abstain from this website once tour starts in order to avoid setlists/pics/spoilers/etc.
shouldn't be too hard, there's only like one week of shows before Chicago lol

are you the one who voted "nothing" - that you've even avoided floridada? i remember someone posting that they were going to avoid listening to the album until after they'd seen them live (they're going to the first show of the tour) and that was really interesting to me given that it's actually not AC's intention.
I've personally only listened to floridada (on shameless repeat) but have been geeky mega-hard on old boots and older material from the guys' various projects

No, I love to jam Floridada (also on shameless repeat), I have heard the Amazon samples (more than enough, trying to cut back), I even listened to the bathroom FLACs when those were circulating, and have every intention of listening to the album prior to going to a show! My only intention here is to avoid any spoilers specifically related to the new live show, I don't want to see a set list, know what gear they're touring with, or see any pics of their new stage setup (lights/decor). I figure the best way to do this is to avoid this site and probably anything the band or friends of the band post on Instagram

Only Floridada. It's been enough to hold me over, I guess I'm not quite as attached to the band as some are

I've caught myself humming this line a few times recently. It sucks to have a song not even released stuck in your head.

I like the weird textures in this song, really stoked to hear it in full form

Haha I feel ya. I always sneak a peak at setlists for any show I'm going too. Luckily, AC switches up their sets a fair amount. I'm thinking(hoping) Water Curses, Kids On Holiday, Grass and In The Flowers will be in the set

Lol!
THe results to the poll are interesting. Just under half of us have only listened to floridada, 1% nothing, and the rest have listened to all, but only 17% have been geeking on repeat to the flacs and Amazon clips. Based on the amount of geeking and tweaking that posters have been engaging in, I would have predicted that a higher percentage of users who have been listening to the clips and flacs on repeat. I suppose there is a selection bias at play...

I think most people don't want to hype up 30 second samples from random parts of the songs. Sounds like a bad way to wear out those sections.

I haven't listened to the amazon clips for that exact reason. I can't imagine what it would be like to have the samples engrained in my brain and then listen to the full album without those clips becoming jarring/weird. I've already done enough damage with songs just because my record player would skip in specific sections of older records and now when I hear the original no-skip version, my brain anticipates it and gets really confused when the skip doesn't occur. Kinda takes me out of it for a second and I really don't want my first experience with my record to have that feeling.
