Which old favorites are y'all hopeful the boys play on the upcoming tour?
Which songs do you think will fit in best with the new material?

Last time they toured as a three piece, these are all of the songs they played (as far as I can tell from All Known Live Recordings):

Based on their decision to pack this album full of high energy, less ambient material, I doubt we'll see the live return of tracks like #1 and No More Runnin, for example (Loch Raven would be dope tho).
I thought this list would be a good place to start since these songs have already been performed live by this lineup.

BUT, their equipment will be a lot different this time around, which will surely impact which older songs they play. So who knows?

Anyways, here's my top picks:
Also Frightened
Chores (based on the amazon samples, I could see them doing a sick mashup of this and Natural Selection, in a similar style to PB's I Think I Can mashup at Governor's Island)
Guys Eyes (vocals fit in well with new material)
Honeycomb
Lion In A Coma
Taste (like the hip-hop remix version from the 2011 tour, but even more in that direction/in line with the sound of the new material)

I think we'll see a faster, leaner version of My Girls because they know people expect it. It will be like when they did who could win a rabbit in the MPP era! Reworked to cut out the fat. Strawberry jams such as chores and winter wonderland would fit in too.

I don't know how Alvin row would work on this tour, but I pray still.

i would be totally alright if they did not play my girls or brothersport this tour ...
maybe a once ina while treat sorta thing ...
but they played that shit for like 6 years straight ...
we need new reworks ... pronto !

Hearing Street Flash live would make my year/decade. I think they'll pass it up for other slow jamz, but a kid can dream.
The goliath version of Fireworks/Essplode would be a welcome return.

They've talked about this album being faster and harder, so I can definitely see them bringing back some of their more quick-paced and manic songs.

I think FEEL ON1NE!!! is on-point with his "Slippi" speculation.

If they throw in a slow jam, I think it would be something like "People" or "Bleeding". Even though I could see them doing Slippi like during the '08 tour, I don't see them ressurecting something from Indian or before for this specific slow jam type of thing.

They reworked both Leaf House and WCWAR for the MPP tour (closed the show with Leaf at the one I went to)

Gool Aid gave me an idea in another thread.

They should do an electronic version of "De Soto De Sun". I could really see that working, like the sort of production they did on Oddsac with the same tempo and atmosphere in place.

Just imagine the lyrics set to the sort of sound on "Green Beans". "Colour people say 'oh no', 'cause they think it's contagious. Marshmallow people say 'oh yeah', 'cause they think it's a masterpiece."

I'm looking for Water Curses, and I really really think BANSHEE BEAT could work with these songs. Beef it up with some bass, make the beat a little bouncier. I think it would fit in a really cool way. But then again, it's probably my favorite song of theirs so I'm a little biased.

see I wonder if they'll actually pick some slower songs from their back catalog to balance out all the fast new stuff.

I would think that it would be tiring to do 1.5+ hours straight of energetic songs, they may need some slower old songs to let them catch their breath.

I've been thinking this too, and it would be cool to see how slower stuff could be reworked with the buchla easel and whatever gear they're using and the new vocal style. Like, I was listening to flesh canoe and thinking a reworked version could be pretty kick ass..

At the same time id be stoked for them to bring back something like WWL or lion in a coma:)

It seems pretty rare for them to bring back old songs that are slow. Loch Raven during first MPP tour comes to mind, and that trend they had slowing down old songs (Banshee Beat, Winter's Love, Chocolate Girl too really). I'm not holding out on it.

Even though the new album is supposed to be nonstop energy, I don't doubt that they'll still be doing transitions between songs like usual. so even if there aren't many slow songs, I bet there'll still be some ambient passages or extended intros/outros

Maybe someone mentioned it in this thread or another but I wonder if they'll actually be bringing modular synths with them on tour? That would be sweet although I could also see them just loading up stems into their samplers and doing a similar setup to the Merriweather tour

I wouldn't be surprised if they hardly played any of their older stuff.. I mean, of course they probably will, But I also see them playing most if not all their new songs and maybe throw in a brother sport/peacebone.. ... but I also hope I'm dead wrong too!! ....someone said earlier. ..I hope they don't play My girls either. . Not even bc I personally think that song is beyond overrated, but it's fucking boring live. -do not debate this with me either haha my opinion.
