YouTube Comments Section

Why oh why do I ever look at comments on Animal Collective live videos.

Where's the bass?
Avery
Drugs
Missing things from the studio version
They look too into it they must be on drugs
What's wrong with their synth? (It's a piano)
The crowd isn't dancing

And I just think GET IN GRAVE.

GET IN GRAVE.

DIG A GRAVE. GET IN IT.

I'm a pretty empathetic person and I try hard to understand people's differences. I can conceptualise the mindset of racism and violence and liking rubbish music and having no sense of humour and being intellectually and emotionally stunted. That's most people. I can conceptualise how Hitler could reach a point where his ideological boner runs away from him and he just thinks 'yeah, best get rid of anyone who doesn't fit the picture in my head' but how can someone listen to the Take Away version of Taste and say 'they look to into it they must be on drug'?

In all the infinite possibilities of human existence in an unfathomably vast universe, how can one person be so limited in imagination and experience as to so reduce anything slightly beyond their pitifully narrow horizon. Look at the sky mate, an ever evolving Sistine ceiling beneath the aeons of mystery and majesty.

'zzzz borin'.

The years of artistry and co-operation with nature in the growing, rolling, drying and preparation of a tea leaf, brewed carefully with respect for where it's come from and the backbreaking work of tea farmers and its unique place in the history of the entire universe.

'muslem go back home'.
'let's have some bake beans and Cola drink'.
'kill a animal for a laugh'.
'avery'.

I'm trying, mum. I'm really trying hard. I'm not the perfect son you think I am but I'm trying to understand and forgive. Father in heaven, I'll forgive my trespassers.

Only thing that comes close to youtube comments is a relatively new phenomenon: Netflix star ratings. If only for how brutally concise they are. This classic film here, eh? Less than one star.

These are meant to be tailored to what Netflix thinks you'll like based on your history, not necessarily what the general public thinks of them/rates them

Wow, both of those comments blew my mind.

I didn't think I had even rated anything on Netflix. Maybe my brother does. A shit algorithm anyhow as I'm always at odds with it

I've never done a single illegal act in my entire life, drugs, thefts you name it, I'm a virgin to it all... And this is still one of my favorite albums of all time. When it comes down to it, it's about the music... The compositional flow of the song. I could give a rats ass about the rest of it, it's just dam good music.

Never heard of you guys before. Heard this on the radio and was instantly addicted. Even though I hate modern pop, this is just amazing.

+Jordan Jones Yes. Different strokes for different folks. There's no such thing as truly "objectively good" music, and if there was, we'd all have posters of Beethoven hanging in our rooms.
